The property is safe and secure, with the team compassionate and accomodating. While the property is older and a lower cost accommodation, it is evident they endeavour to provide great value. I have travellwd a lot, and experienced 4 or 5 star hotels that have not been as clean as my apartment. . The check-in process beeds to be clarified as Expedia states it is a 2pm check-in yet the reception vloses at 12pm daily

The overall stay was good for family.We can do our laundry and some light cooking.The only sad part is the wifi,very slow,is more for just sending email.The room was spacious.

Although the apartment may have been located in the quieter, dodgier part of town the free CAT bus conveniently gets you to the centre of Perth within minutes and is only a 20 minute walk away. The price is excellent for a 2 bedroom fully equipped apartment this close to the city. Everything you need is there including access to small gym and indoor pool. We picked up the keys from a very friendly and efficient girl at the convenience store on the ground floor. Very happy with our stay.

We love staying at the Starwest appartments when we come to Perth. Coming from the country, it’s easy for us to access with our large 4x4 and love that it’s at the quiet end of the city. The staff are lovely and check-in is super easy with self access out of hours. The rooms are large and always clean & tidy with everything you need for self catering. Indoor all weather pool is the kids favourite feature & pizza/kebab shop takeaway just down the road is my hot tip

Pictures look better than the real thing
The apartment is large, but old and very dated, furniture, bench and walls are well worn. The door had looked it had been kicked in and bad repair job, the tile grout, corners of rooms not clean. Wifi so slow - next to useless. Hotel advertises as free parking on site - there is maybe less than 6 carparks for 50 units, unless you check in about 3pm you will be parking on the street and paying the metered parking rate. Check in procedure - terrible and on top of prepaying everything they still want a security deposit of $300 each time you visit. Do not use the swimming pool - you will get some form of nasty illness. TV doesnt work, netflix wont connect using your own account. Not really walking distance to town so need to use uber or own car. Free red bus goes into town from Hay St but service stops at 6pm and I think only runs for Nov - Feb. The hotel information about local markets etc is out of date. City Farm Market is definitely not open 9am to 3pm during the week. The IGA supermarket around the corner is good / new but not cheap. The Wok and Ladle noodle place just down the road is great and the Maruzzelle Italian place around the corner is good. I enjoyed the stay in Freemantle a lot more than Perth - and I would recommend staying in Freemantle rather than Perth.

Reception rarely open! Couldn’t gain access to the gym as you need an additional key to get into it, and reception was closed ( all the time to try get one) Everytime you ask staff something there’s always some excuse, not great at probable solving or helping guests
