Our conference center and hotel is located in Phoenixville, PA thirty minutes outside of Philadelphia. Property is located two miles from Valley Forge National Park and four miles from King of Prussia where plentiful restaurants and shopping can be found.

It was a room
I needed a room for the night, and that’s what I got. It seemed clean, though a bit run down around the property. Wallpaper was peeling throughout the halls, and some bits had fallen from the ceiling. I received no communication prior to my arrival, so I had to contact the host to get into the building. He called me within 10 minutes and walked me through the property to my room, where the door was unlocked and the key was inside. He gave me two door codes, but the one closest to the parking lot did not work. One thing that could be improved was the plumbing and bathroom in general; there was only one light over the sink and the way it’s situated, means you would take a shower in relative darkness if there wasn’t sunlight. Also, the toilet didn’t always flush correctly and the water took a couple minutes to get hot, presumably because there were not many people on the property. I really only slept there and didn’t spend much time in the space other than that. I knew there were a couple other people by the cars, but I felt like I was alone, and gave off The Shining vibes.

Host was not understanding. Interrupted everything I said, raise his voice in defense. Made me cry. I’ll never go back and I told the entire cast and cries of the local production to not use this place.

The good, the bad and the ugly.
This is going to be difficult because there are some good things in some things that are not so good. The communication with the host was not easy. At the beginning when we were communicating via email it was so so. Then when we got there and saw no one around, and we did not know where our key was to the room or the room number I tried to contact him or her, we didn’t see a phone # available or absolutely any soul around to talk to. Finally, my daughter open a folder that we found,on a “ front desk”, We saw that was for us, and it said room 420, I believe. We tried to go to the fourth floor. When you enter the elevator, you could go to G, 1,2 so we told them maybe from two we have to take another elevator. Well, no, we were supposed to get out into but the numbers on the rooms were three then we walked to the right on small hall open the door went downstairs for about 10 steps and then there were rooms with number 4 . In other words very very, very confusing. Like I said at the beginning very difficult to figure out where the room was because there was absolutely no want to explain all of this situation of elevator and stories with numbers that didn’t make any sense. Also, I couldn’t stay there on the first day because I never found, Key to my room. Talking to the gentleman the next day he told me.” The key was in your room” I have been in 20 countries around the world, and this is the very first time in my life that the key inside the room. The room was clean and, neat.
