The place is very nice. However, the walls are paper thin and the noise from the street below is unbearable. They left us earplugs and we figured out why the first night! Impossible to sleep with the noise. Beds were uncomfortable as well.

Good place but very loud
Place was in a pretty good location and walkable to most of downtown Philly. The room was in good condition and comfortable, a good size, and I liked the beds. The only problem was that it is extremely loud staying here. It’s right on the main road in Philly so there is lots of traffic, a subway that seemingly goes by every 5 minutes all day and most of the night right under the building, and a fire station right next door. If you’re a light sleeper then you won’t get any sleep at all, but if you’re a sound sleeper it won’t be as bad.

The hotel was dirty and had cockroaches!! We found 2 of them. The pillows smelled like sweat I thought the linens were dirty but no it was the actual pillows that smelled. The floors were dirty as well. It was too expensive for that type of hotel. They have old pics online I guess they are from when they opened because all the walls are dirty

- Difficult to get in. Didn't know there was no one working. Had to shuffle through emails in 30 degrees weather with my family to get in. - No ice - Shower barely worked. The pressure is so low very hard to get it to come through shower head +soap dispenser did not work +pot hole outside front door, my wife's foot fell in and almost sprained it - Upon checkout, homeless man laying sleeping in our hallway as we are leaving.

The Sonder Ovation was a perfect choice for us. We needed two bedrooms and bathrooms in a central location, and Sonder fit the bill. The payment was competitive with the cost of a single room in this general area of the city. The downside is the lack of on-site hotel authority and the need to call a central Sonder number to resolve problems—like room code difficulties or raucous neighbors. Overall, this was our second stay at the Ovation and we would stay there again.

The property is not constructed well and is noisy. You hear everything from rooms around you and it is right next to the fire station/paramedics. Difficult to sleep. The bathroom needed significant updates/upgrades. Very tiny, tub/shower that wouldn’t convert to shower easily- mechanism was worn or broken, shower curtain- no glass, dirty walls, poor quality towels and very low quality/bulk soap products. Kitchen area was fine in that it had new appliances all in good working order with sufficient utensils.

Generally a great value for the money though the air condition did not work extremely well. The master bedroom the air didn't blow well so it was hottest in there. The thermostat said it was a temp I don't believe. Other than that, the place was in pretty darn good. Well setup and even had salt and pepper which was a big plus. I would stay again but hope they fix the AC. It's central AC so odd that it is working like this.

Bathroom was very small. Also noises from above unit. And a couple in a unit next to elevator was having a very loud domestic fight. It was very disturbing. Otherwise property fulfilled its purpose.

Stayed here for a girls night in Philly. Room was super cute and clean. Beautiful views of the city as well. The rooftop area was so serene and picturesque. Checking in and out of the building was effortless. The only downside is the parking around the building as we did have to park blocks away but overall I would highly recommend!
