Falls short in more way than one..
I just moved to PHX for work and I needed to find a place to stay for at least a month. After looking on VRBO, I found Greendale Park Suites and figured it might meet my needs. Unfortunately, I learned after I checked in that the property looks nicer in the photos.
Good Things:
-The pool
-Direct access to the Greenbelt
-I liked having a numerical code to access everything
Bad Things:
-Crazy fee schedule: you realize as soon as you check in that this is going to be one of those nickel-and-dime style establishments. They give you a list of all the things they'll charge you for should they go missing--and I get that, but I think that having a list gives me more anxiety that something is already missing from my room before I check in.
-Dated: I might be showing my age, but I didn't know that Kirkland Signature appliances existed...
-Dirty: the silverware had food from the last tenant.
-Timer switches on ALL of the primary light fixtures. I tried doing a call in the living room once for work, and the light I was using shut off in the middle of the call because I guess I wasn't moving enough...
-COVID means no services of any kind, except coffee. FYI most major chains have re-instated these types of services (albeit infrequent).
-Linen Swap Fee: $10 to get new towels/sheets for a month-long stay? LOL
-The daily rate is loco for the offer.
Ultimately, I ended up checking out and getting a nicer, newer more modern room at a hotel-chain extended stay brand. 3/10: Wouldn't stay again.
