This home's location is ideally suited for families who want to be close to Dollywood. It is in a very hilly community of rental properties that is reasonably well maintained. We intentionally searched for and selected a home that had a gas grill (first priority), and the hot tub was the next priority. When we arrived, the gas grill had been removed (cover and propane tank remained), and a well-used charcoal grill had been left outside for use. When the rental company was asked about the switch, it was explained that the "gas grill was a fire hazard." No apology for the bait-and-switch, just a statement that a charcoal grill was left outside and should not be moved. With two small children traveling with our family and full days already planned, the prep and use of a charcoal grill had not been considered. The hot tub was onsite and sits directly outside of the lower bedroom, which has bunk beds, where children are most likely sleeping. We chose not to use the hot tub due to the noise from the jets and the conversation that would be outside the door of sleeping toddlers. Sometimes, it is the little things that are missed (like one regular size sized ice-tray left for use for a house that can accommodate 10-12 people- we had 4 adults and had to fill it twice a day; or the nail head on the bottom stair that is exposed and tears socks), and sometimes it's the big thing- like poor communication about an amenity change that prevents return visit. For us, it will be both.
