Timber Wolf Lodge nestled in the Ponderosa Pines W/Ping pong and Billiards

Perched on a North facing ridge overlooking Strawberry valley, the house is secluded yet completely accessible to the local restaurants and shops of Strawberry and Pine. Enjoy star gazing or morning coffee on the wrap around deck that surrounds the kitchen, dining area, bedrooms, and great room. Picture windows maximize your views of hills, pastures and wildlife from the warmth of a modern home. 75" smart TV, wood burning stove, pool table, dart board, Nintendo. Plenty of parking and garage.

Other things to note: Tonto Natural Bridge (10-15 min) and plenty of trails close by. The nearest location to fish is C. C. Cragin (Blue Ridge) Reservoir (50 minutes).

Great stay!!
Great place! Family of 5 stayed for the weekend. Kids played on the deck and in the dirt. We saw elk everyday. Beds are comfy and the kitchen is stocked. Great location.

Great getaway
Out daughter just got married in Strawberry and we took a couple of days to unwind after the festivities. This was absolutely perfect. Saw herds of elk enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. The views were fabulous. And the hosts were wonderful.

A fantastic secluded stay
From start to finish, the hosts were amazing. They were friendly, knowledgeable, accommodating, and well-prepared. They were responsive to our questions, swift to respond and very understanding. After some initial questions and messaging with the hosts, we booked through the app with absolutely no problems. Upon our arrival the house itself was wonderful, very comfortable, well-decorated, and surprisingly well-stocked with the little things you don't think of until you get there. The house was beautiful and a wonderful place to relax and enjoy some mountain serenity. We had a couple more messages for the hosts after we arrived - we had a couple family members arriving later and had some questions that were answered almost immediately. The hosts live close by in case of problems, but respected our privacy through out the whole visit. We look forward to coming back for another visit and would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing stay in the pines.

Great getaway
It's a great unit, particularly for families. Be aware there there is a full flight of steps from the parking/garage area to the main part of the house. You would need four-wheel drive to get to the upper level/back of the house. The third bedroom and game room were on the lower level - so stairs involved. And the roads in to the unit are very bumpy - but worth the drive. We saw elk several times every day. The home was very well appointed - we wanted for nothing. We were 4 retired ladies, so this was all a bit much for us - but we still had a great time. Thanks so much for sharing the home with us.

We’ll Be Back
My dad, brother, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle and my little dog counted the days until our two-night stay here. And it didn’t disappoint. After several really tough years that included the passing of my mom, this was the first time my family saw me happy. I can attribute much of that to all of the games provided — taking us back to our childhood of competition for me and my brother. We are currently planning for a return in the fall.

Great forest retreat
Overall our family of 4 plus one dog really enjoyed this place! It is very secluded, and has a couple of very steep roads to get to it. So definitely seems like you'd need a good vehicle depending on road conditions. We went in July so it wasn't an issue. It has a great wrap-around balcony that was very fun to sit on and enjoy the cooler temperatures and amazing views. Game room was a hit. Kitchen is well stocked. Family room and kitchen area was nice open area that everyone could hang out. Only complaint was pro/con of the dog friendly nature of this rental, it seemed (smell wise) like another guests pet(s) may have marked in the master bedroom previously.

Very comfortable beds, awesome activities for family interaction, comfy sofa room as well. Everything well stocked - like TP, paper towels, dish soap, trash bags, even shampoo/cond. Greatly recommend.

Great family rental
This property is perfect for family's with young adult children. The game room was the highlight for our children! Myself and husband were able to relax with beautiful views and daily visits from dozens of elk walking through the area.

We saw elk each day. The property is just as described and who would have thought you would see a zebra, llamas, Guinea fowl and other animals while walking through the area? Yes seriously! It was great!

Amazing TmberWolf Lodge
Beautiful setting, Josh made himself available when we first got and after that he didn't bother us but was available if needed. Had a whole herd of Elk pass by the property on our last morning there. It was great. Would stay here again.

Quiet Place
First time staying in the area. The property is in a nice location. Quiet, peaceful and plenty of wildlife. Elk and deer all around the property. Nice spot to relax and enjoy the outdoors. Escape From Reality
Our stay was very relaxing. The elk were there to greet us and returned each day for our viewing pleasure. The house was very comfortable and Josh very accommodating. We enjoyed venturing out to explore the areas and enjoy the local culture. It is definitely a trip worth making again and we would highly recommend a stay.

Fantastic wrap-around deck with views...cue the wildlife!
The photos look good of the home, we loved the wrap around deck and view. We were pleased to find the home looking even better in person than it did in photos! Privacy with open spaces, views, yet tucked nicely into a hillside. We were easily able to fit two cars in the garage (full size SUV and small convertible) with lots of extra space to park in the drive that wraps around one side of the home. The home was clean and very well appointed from the dishes, pots, pans, silverware....really everything we needed...even a rice maker. My wife is a wonderful cook and was happy to encounter such a complete kitchen in a vacation rental. When we checked in there were several elk and deer roaming the property and again in the early morning. It was magical, especially for the kids. The downstairs game room with pool table, dart board and gaming TV is separate enough for people to enjoy a lively party without disturbing the others in the home. The host Josh was great...helpful and responsive when we needed anything. Really made the experience complete! We will be back!

Privacy with comfort
The location cannot be beat if you want privacy with a view. However, you are a hop skip and a jump from town making this home an ideal location. Wilk likely return for a girlfriend getaway.

From beginning to end, Josh and this property were amazing. Very prompt communication, and the property itself was excellent...really nice views, a super wraparound porch, and everything you could need inside! Highly recommend!
