Forget your worries in this spacious and serene space. The walk-out basement apartment with ample windows and farm views will be your home away from home. We are also home to horses, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks and cats. The 14-acre farm is located just minutes from Shakori Hills Community Arts Center which hosts many events throughout the year. The farm is convenient to Pittsboro, Saxapahaw and Chapel Hill. We can accommodate horses for overnight lodging too, ask for details!
Enjoy the sights and sounds of the farm from your rooms or strolling around the property (all farm animals are contained in the pastures). Fresh ground organic coffee and a selection of teas are provided for your use. All cookware and appliances you need to prepare full meals is provided, including counter top burners (2 sets of 2) and a counter top oven that accommodates two 9x13 pans. And, enjoy your own herb garden right outside the door!

There are yard games like croquet, bocce, frisbee, hoola hoops, Speedminton and giant Jenga for use on the arena which, thanks to no light pollution, is also a great place for star-gazing. The giant swing is a must try! Unique farm to fork restaurants and live music venues abound in the area. Road biking is also popular while mountain biking trails are available within 15 minutes. All of our bedding and towels are machine-washed and line dried in the sun, so they may feel a bit different to you. Natural, scent-free laundry and cleaning products are used in the space.

Additionally, the farm is expansive with plenty of parking and inviting spaces around the fire pit and arena. If you want to have a larger outdoor gathering of family/friends during your stay, please ask for details.
Convenient parking for one vehicle is provided right beside the private entrance to the apartment. Additional parking is available upon request. Guests can enjoy using the bonfire/picnic and arena area, though these are common areas for use by all on the farm. Come and go whenever you please, but when in the space, we ask that complete quiet hours from 10:30pm to 6:30am be strictly respected as others are living in the rest of the house.
There are also farm fresh eggs for $6/dozen and dry firewood bundles for the bonfire pit also for $8.
