We were very happy with our stay at the Grand Riviera Princess. The pools and the view from our room were beautiful. We ate at a couple of the restaurants and all the food was excellent. The buffets were usually good also. We would definitely recommend this resort to our friends.

Food is not too bad but not good either, 2.5/5 for food. The beach and the swimming pools are extremely crowded, it’s very hard to find a spot on the pools or the beach, and no one to help us find a spot or move the beach chairs for us. It was a daily struggle. The beach looks white sand in pictures, but that’s deceiving, because once you step into the water it will be all sharp rocks that’s impossible to walk on, so your only option is the swimming pools. This resort doesn’t have a shuttle to/from the airport, which is very unusual for an all inclusive resort. This is a big problem because brokers (dressed in a fake transportation company shirts) take advantage of tourists at the airport and charge 170$ for one way to the hotel, they will make it look like as if you have no choice but to pay the $170 for the taxi. Shame on the resort, you shouldn’t let your guests go through this. And shame on the Mexican authorities, why Ubers aren’t allowed to enter the airport? Why there’s no public transportation?. To be honest, I get it, you’re all collaborators, hotel, people in the airport, authorities, collaborate to milk as much money from tourists as you can even if it was inappropriate.

This was the most awful vacation ever. Multiple issues with the room, no towels, leak in rhe room. Mold in the room. Food was disgusting.

Property is good and certainly the VIP I got with Expedia made the experience much better. We got access to more restaurants options and free room service. The golf carts drivers were very pleasant and so were the concierge I remember Jonathan was great. The place just feels like a 4 stars more than 5. The beach though nice sand and clear water..the allowed area to swim in was only waist high or less. None of the pools were heated and in December it was a little cold. Still had a nice time, food was good always fresh grilled steak and salmon but could use some more variety.

The property was large and had lots of space, especially the pool. The beach area was very nice. However, the front desk was not very welcoming, the beds were extremely uncomfortable (especially the pillows), and it was not as maintained as the pictures might indicate. The Buffett food was ok. Also, it was hard to book a dinner or change the reservation, the app is not very intuitive. You have to book dinner at least 2.5 days prior to even get a chance. The Italian restaurant was delicious, but the seafood restaurant was not very good.

Our shower smelt like sewage& kid’s club was small
Our room phone wasn’t working, and despite sending multiple messages via the app and WhatsApp, we received no response and had to go to the concierge, which was understaffed. While the all-inclusive package was convenient, we couldn’t book any restaurants during our three-night stay as they were all fully booked. The kids’ club was basic, closed at 5 PM, and required an extra fee for access to the “family path” and additional facilities. The location was isolated, with no nearby places within walking distance, and no complimentary shuttle was provided. The beach water smelled like sewage, and our bathroom and shower also had a persistent odor, which detracted from the experience.

The hotel is nice and the grounds are well maintained and very large. There are a lot of pool options and the beach was clean. Some areas of the beach have a very rocky bottom and hurt your feet to go out. I would recommend shoes. The staff were polite, attentive, and helpful. The rooms were large. The grounds have deer, cats, monkeys, coatis, and lizards. The food is okay. Some of the restaurants were fantastic. We could always find something to eat.
