Our Great Lake Retreat Villa is situated mere minutes from all Port Clinton activities such as Fishing, Boating, Eats & Drinks, Night Life, Beaches, Lighthouses, Family Fun & more!

Close to: Cedar Point & The Lake Erie Islands (Put In Bay / Kelleys Island ), Marblehead and Port Clinton Lighthouses, Birdwatching and multiple State Parks.


With a mix of Farmhouse Inspiration throughout, we've added some subtle Nautical flare to the home and created Port Clinton's lone Great Lake Escape Pool Home / Villa, and believe the Guest House is a GREAT addition vs. a standard vacation rental. The Guest House allows multiple families to enjoy additional privacy vs. standard rentals, or a place for Mom/Dad or Grandpa/Grandma to either escape from the grandkids....or to simply turn in early.

Gaming System (Nintendo Switch) provides a nice opportunity for young and old to bond, or just something for the kids to do while you plan your day. Bring you own games, or take advantage of what we provide (the games vary).

The home is open concept with the Master Bedroom, Dining Area and Kitchen off the Pool/Patio side of the home. This is very relaxing, providing the kind of views your family hopes for on vacation.

Beds are comfortable and rooms are simple to relax in, with the Queen bedroom in the main home offering leisurely reading options and even a few lotions throughout the year.

Having 2.5 baths across the 2 Living Spaces (Main House + Guest House) provides ample opportunity to prepare for the day, and to refreshen up after a long day enjoying the area, with the privacy everyone expects from home (even while sharing a vacation rental).

The GEM is the Outdoor area. The Dry Dock area (patio) and In ground pool provide SOOOO much room to spread out and enjoy the fun and the sun.

The Guest House is a bonus that cannot be overlooked. It provides a separate living space for any couple in your family. Young or Old, some simply like the seclusion and will enjoy being able to turn in early for the night. Guest home is located just off the pool, and is a full amenity (Full Kitchen / Full Bath ) offering. FULL AC of course in the Guest House as well!

Home is equipped with the following Surveillance cameras, fully disclosed locations and monitoring areas as agreed by all VRBO Hosts:
1. Front Ring Doorbell (coverage includes the entire front entryway)
2. Ring Floodlight Camera mounted above garage (coverage area includes the main parking area from main parking by the Main Home's garage area, to the road monitoring all vehicles entering the property from the street)
3. Ring Cam mounted outside on the Pool/Patio area (1 ring camera - located at entry point to the back patio on the fence - Cameras positioned to cover the back patio area / pool area and Guest House Entry).
All Cameras utilized for security purposes / Insurance purposes only (not monitored).

Greatly exceeded expectations!

My family had such a great stay at this home. The highlight was the pool, which we used every day. The house was very clean and full of nice touches (several TVs, games, well-equipped kitchen). Communication with Steve & Avery was great too - they were so prompt with their responses and gave us great fishing recommendations in the area. Would stay here again for sure!

Family Friend Stay
We recently stayed at this VRBO property for our annual trip with another family we're best friends with, and we were initially drawn to the place because of the pool. We were looking for a spot to relax with good food and activities nearby. Once we got into the pool, we barely left! It was so relaxing that we ended up spending most of our time lounging around. The house had plenty of space for our two families (two couples and three adult kids). We cooked meals, played games, and did manage to go out to the Islands for dinner one night. The little gem is plopped right down the road from Port Clinton, which has everything you need. While it sits close to a pretty busy road, the traffic noise didn't bother us or stop anyone from getting a good night's sleep. The separate pool house was great for a bit of extra space. Highly recommend this place—did I mention the pool?

Quiet, conveniently located, very clean, lots of extras
My family and I had a wonderful week at this property! The owners were great with communication, made sure we had everything we needed, and helped us feel so welcome. The pool is pristine — my kids (17, 14, 11) swam every day, and the surrounding space was great for lounging. Everything was very clean, there was great AC for hot summer days, plenty of towels, and lots of pillows and blankets. We chose this spot because it’s conveniently located close to local attractions, but also far enough that it felt like a getaway at night. Having a separate guest house provided privacy for the adults, and the kids loved feeling like they had their own place. Lots of local fishing, fun restaurants, and lake activities. The checkout process was the simplest of any spot we’ve ever stayed, and the owners provided everything you could think of needing, plus some extras you don’t normally see at rentals. It’s clear they really care about the guest experience. I’d highly recommend choosing this property if you are visiting the area! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful spacious home with an in ground pool.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. It was perfect for our family of eight. It was nice for the teenagers to have their own space. We all enjoyed the pool with comfortable lounges and a patio to eat our meals. The host was very easy to work with and responded quickly. I highly recommend this property.

Our son’s wedding was scheduled for 6/22/24 and we decided to stay at a VRBO home in Port Clinton, OH ~ 15 minutes from venue Sandusky, OH. We had 8 in our party. If I could give 10 stars I would. Home was clean, perfect size for our family/friends, private location off highway and had a in ground pool and patio area! Location ~ if you are looking for an easy access home but private location this is the place! Incredibly quiet and relaxing on the back patio either floating around in the pool or relaxing on the beautiful decorative patio. Pool is pristine! No homes close by. A truly relaxing environment! Did I mention how QUIET it is!! Home ~ open concept, all furniture in excellent condition including beds. Appliances great working condition. Kitchen is stocked with all you need. Great coffee bar ~ we used during our stay. Big bowl of bagged snacks provided, and other goodies. Extras in bathrooms like toothpaste, brushes, soap etc.. Side of fridge a list of favorites on a board ~ best pizza, best restaurants etc.. we thought this was a great idea! No wants or needs from this rental! Guest House ~ great little cottage. Clean, well accessible, like main house well stocked, furnished great, friends loved it. Communication ~ the BEST! Answered my emails under 5 minutes, pre-booking and after-booking. Owners do a great job keeping the rental and property in excellent condition. Pool is a plus especially during our time ~ Ohio heat wave week. Wedding was beautifully perfect! ❤️

Great Family Getaway!
This was our first time staying in this area and really enjoyed all the fun things/yummy places to eat! The house was in a great location and close to everything you’ll need. We had fun at the art fair and local fishing on Lake Erie. The house itself was perfect! There were 6 adults and 5 kids between the age of 12 and 3. We had plenty of space between the main house and the guest house. Everything was stocked up (coffee, creamer, a bowl of snacks, bathroom toiletries, lots of games, pool floats, etc). All the extra details were much appreciated and not something you often see when renting! The owners were quick to respond and helpful when we had questions! The house was in great shape, very clean, and the beds were very comfortable! The pool was also very clean and perfect to lounge in. We also enjoyed the big deck and yard. Couldn’t be happier with our stay and if we come out this way again, we would love to stay here again!

Our group (5 adults and 3 children) take an annual trip together, and this year was our 14th. This house was one of the best we've stayed in! So many details were attended to (well furnished, many extra amenities, clear instructions, labeled cabinets). The host was very communicative and responsive as well. I received an email to let me know that housekeeping was all done & we could check in early, which was very thoughtful. He also responded to questions VERY quickly and thoroughly. It's clear that they take pride in this property and genuinely want their guests to have a great time. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this vacation home, and I hope to get to stay there again someday!

Great place for a couples' weekend!
To some extent, we wanted a place to stay near the lake for some recreation, but we mainly just wanted a nice place to hang out with old friends for the weekend. This property was absolutely perfect for that. The house was clean and comfortable. The pool is as nice as it looks in the photos, and there was plenty of room for the 8 of us to sleep. It sits on a fairly busy road, but we liked that it was secluded, and the view in the back is nice. Would definitely recommend, particularly if you plan to spend a fair amount of time at the property.

This house was perfect for our family vacation! The hosts were amazing with communication and even offered recommendations throughout our stay which really enhanced our weekend! The guest house was such an added bonus for a second family and we spent most of our time on the deck and pool which are such a rare find! The place was so clean, packed with snacks for our welcome, and the beds were some of the most comfortable beds any of us have ever slept on!

Amazing property!
You won’t find a better rental in this area and the pool and outside area are absolutely amazing! The host couldn’t have been better and the communication was fantastic. Super convenient to Port Clinton and Sandusky and our family had an absolute wonderful stay. They have maximized this space and if you have a couple of people in your group wanting more privacy, there is a great separate guest house, in addition to the main 3 bedroom house. This property is a gem!
