Luxury Oceanfront Tuscan Villa with Chef, Housekeeping and Concierge Services

Villa Amore is a beautiful, Tuscan-style, luxury villa offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean.

Villa Amore features 4 spacious guest suites. The primary guest suite on the main floor provides a king bed, large walk-in closet with safe and a full 4-piece en suite bathroom with a double-sink vanity and a bidet. The remaining 3 guest suites, located on the upper level, each provide a queen bed and a daybed which convert to (2) twin/single beds, accommodating up to 4 guests per guest suite. Each guest suite offers a full 3-piece en suite bathroom and walk-in closet with a safe.
Full-time chef services are offered and included in your luxury rental. This includes breakfast and dinner preparation, serving, and clean-up (Monday-Saturday). Guests are required to purchase their own groceries, ingredients and beverages. Or, if you prefer, our caretakers will be happy to provide shopping service for a nominal fee.

Guests can enjoy a spacious, custom-designed chef’s kitchen. It is fully equipped with an expansive refrigerator and freezer with ice-maker, professional Italian cooktop range and oven, wine cooler fridge, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, toaster oven, coffee & espresso maker, blender, and all the necessary cooking and baking utensils. Just off the kitchen is an oversized outdoor terrace, featuring a BBQ grilling area with sink and an extendable dining table, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty encompassing the entire villa and ocean view, surrounded by lush tropical gardens.

Just minutes from the villa, brings you to a couple small, natural beaches. These beaches may too rugged for swimming but they are an amazing place to spread out a towel and relax, collect shells, and take in the surrounding serene beauty. When the tide is low, you can hike along the lava rock and swim or snorkel with the tropical fish in the shallow tidal pools.

Villa Amore is only a 5 minute drive from beautiful Playa Carrillo. In March 2013, Travel and Leisure Magazine featured it in the Top 25 secret beaches in the world. The magazine describes it as a white-sand beach framed by mountains and just off a boulevard lined by palm trees. It is safe to swim, surf or just lounge under the palm trees and try out a fresh coconut water or a flavored shaved ice, from one of the local vendors . It is perfect for an early morning walk along this 2 km beach and top if off with a relaxing massage from a local beach vendor or you can enjoy a beautiful sunset at the end of the day. The beach is protected by rocky headlands and provides calm, warm water for all swimmers.

Villa Amore is located in the province of Guanacaste, one of the five Blue Zones of the world, and is approximately two hours from Liberia International Airport (LIR) and is approximately four hours from San Jose International Airport (SJO).

Large family trip - Amazing time
We had the most magical stay at Villa Amore. It truly is the definition of luxury. Such an amazing space to gather at the end of a day of adventuring to spend time together as a family, watching the sunset over the pacific. Alex and Jenny were phenomenal. So kind, professional and helpful. The meals were amazing, each one better than the last. My only advice would be to add some information to the pre trip information around customary tipping practices for the area, for both excursions and also for Alex and Jenny. They were so phenomenal and we wanted to show our gratitude but have no idea if the amount we left was sufficient.

Awesome Vacation!
Now we know why all of the reviews were rated best of the best! We had four families sharing the property with ages ranging from 2 to 68 and everyone had the best time ever. Alex and Jen are the best hosts and their culinary skills are amazing. We had every meal at the villa with the exception of their day off. The property is very much as advertised with plenty of room for our group of 12. One of those trips that no one wanted to leave with guaranties that we will all be back!

Fantastic trip to Carrillo
This was our second trip to Carrillo. We love the area, and the beaches are beautiful! Laura was great during the booking process, and Alex and Jenny were so helpful and easy to communicate with. The house is gorgeous, with amazing ocean views. The food was delicious, we ate in every night! Jenny kept the house so clean, and even did our laundry when needed. Right from the beginning Laura was absolutely amazing with communication and giving recommendations for planning excursions and all those little details for things! The house was stunning! Alex and Jenny far exceeded our expectations and by day 2 felt like part of our family! The house was always immaculate, food was top tier and just being able to spend time and conversation with them was amazing! Costa Rica definitely did not disappoint in any way! Family Trip for Mom’s 70th
My wife, parents and adult sisters stayed at Villa Amore for a week to celebrate my Mom’s 70th birthday. Everything about the week was great. There is not much more to be said that has not been said in previous reviews . The food is incredible. I hope to book again with some friends.

Beautiful home
We couldn’t have asked for a better vacation. The house was immaculate and had everything we needed. Alex and Jennifer were amazing. We enjoyed all the meals they cooked and eating on the patio was such a treat. The location was wonderful too. I felt like all my research had paid off when a local resident asked us in surprised how we found Playa Carrillo. It is the most beautiful beach. We felt very fortunate to have been able to experience the culture, food and beaches all in one trip. Can’t wait to return!

Beautiful home w/ breathtaking views!
The check-in process was easy. Alex was anticipating our arrival and was ready to greet us as we stepped out of the car. Alex and Jenny are fantastic concierges. They made recommendations for activities, did some of our grocery shopping, and prepared breakfast and dinner upon our request. It was a welcomed treat to have them do some of the cooking and clean up afterwards. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Keep in mind that the only enclosed areas of the home are the bedrooms so the shared living spaces and kitchen are open to nature and do not have air cond. This was not an issue for us as it was easy to cool off in the gorgeous infinity pool that overlooks the Pacific! I would like to point out that the dishwasher did not work so we did need to hand wash dishes. It did not wash or rinse dishes properly. The location was convenient to Carrillo and Samara. There is a small grocery store about five minutes down the road that we found most of our food supplies. For more options, there is a larger grocery store (Pali) in Samara. Nature is abound! We saw spider monkeys near the house and many colorful birds. There are fruit trees next to the house that would be lovely during the wetter seasons. We visited during the dry season so there was not yet fruit on the trees. We enjoyed zip lining, chartering a private boat, and simply relaxing around the house. Overall, the home felt like a Costa Rican gem! Thank you for hosting us! Pura Vida!

Lovely Visit in Costa Rica
Amazing first trip to Costa Rica. The pool was great for the kids (some pool toys/floats were available to use). Lots of wildlife on the property/nearby (we went tidepooling a couple of times, saw humpback whales, monkeys, lots of birds). The property was very clean and looked like the pictures. We did not rent a car, but almost all excursions would pick us up. We loved Alex & Jenny!

Villa Amore was an amazing experience. The pictures do not do this place justice!!! The most beautiful ocean view and so much wildlife to see. This was our second time in Costa Rica and we’ll definitely stay here again when we come back. It’s close to Samara which is a neat little town. Make sure to bring a sleep mask as the sun rises very early. (5:30 am while we were there!) Alex and Jenny helped provide an incredibly relaxing trip! Every meal was delicious!

The stay was absolutely fabulous! View of the oceanfront property was out of this world. The staff was remarkable and exceptional! The food divine! The property is top tier!!!! Even the hired drivers were very responsive, such gentleman and beyond caring and sweet! To airport attendants were incredible. The people on the island so caring so kind! But back to the house and Laura again top tier!!!!!!! Highly recommend and I’ll be back very, very soon! Oh and did I mention the infinity pool! Absolutely incredible and again the view of the Pacific Ocean can be seen from every room. The plush greenery so beautiful! Everything and everyone simply beautiful!

What a wonderful stay!!
We had an absolutely terrific vacation at Villa Amore! The property was magnificent and exactly how it was represented in the listing and photos. After our stay, we couldn’t think of anything that could have been done to improve our experience. As far as Alex and Jenny go…there is nothing to be said that hadn’t already been said. They are wonderful people….a pair of jewels….kind, attentive and incredibly helpful. Regarding meals, they accommodated everything we asked. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. As I told them….”on a 10 scale, spending a week at Villa Amore is a solid 10”…..but spending a week at Villa Amore staffed by Alex and Jenny is an easy “15.” We can’t recommend this property highly enough.

Amazing Getaway!
I could write a book about how wonderful our stay was! This property is amazing, beautiful home, view and location. Having Jenny and Alex was incredible! They are so kind and accomodating and made us feel at home. Breakfast and dinners were incredible! In addition, we had a few changes and questions before we arrived and Laura was more than accomodating and helpful during the process. Unbelievable stay!!
We read all the reviews and cannot wait to stay at this house. It met all in all of our expectations. It was absolutely incredible. Alex and Jenny were amazing hosts the property had amazing views was so well kept , close to so many things to do. Our stay could not have been better. Unbelievable experience went by so fast. The food was incredible, we will be back !!!!!!! Stay here versus anywhere else!! Cannot beat it . Great special touch by Laura and a bottle of wine. Our first night was so very appreciated. All the kindness was great. 1,0000000 stars!!!

Absolutely Amazing Tropical Oasis! (Vacation with Friends!)
First off, the pictures you see on this listing are 100% exactly what you get when you walk in! Villa Amore is nothing short of amazing and you will not regret the time you spend here nor will you want to leave. My husband and I booked Villa Amore with our friends (adults only trip) to celebrate his 50th birthday and every single one of us was blown away not by just the house and location, but by our caretakers, Jenny and Alex as well. They made Villa Amore feel like our home away from home for the week that we stayed. Cooked AMAZING meals for us (I think we tried almost everything on the menu) and even helped us set up our tours that picked us up straight from the Villa. There were no details missed, every room was extremely clean. We could not have asked for a better vacation for our first time in Costa Rica. I really can't wait to book and stay here again.

Amazing!!
Stunning view!! Fabulous accommodations! Alex and Jenny were very warm and welcoming! Their meals were delicious! They were of great help with planning our activities. Laura was a wonderful help in planning our first time visit to Costa Rica. So easy to communicate with and always responded in a timely manner. We chose Villa Amore to celebrate our 50th Wedding Anniversary with our family- ages 9 to 73. The memories we made will be cherished forever. All of our family feel we will never find another place like Villa Amore. Thank you again for your genuine kindness and caring! Love to all! Pura Vida!!

Family Vacation
Our family (parents with boys ages 20 and 18) wanted to try somewhere new for a family vacation besides United States beaches. This house was recommended by a friend and was a perfect getaway. Alex and Jenny were wonderful hosts. The house was a great setting to relax in each day after a tour. Alex was a wonderful chef and that was a true vacation for me, to have someone else do the cooking. Laura recommended a great travel agency who booked our tours and we were able to experience several different things in the area and the country. I would highly recommend this house!!!
