The checking-in queue was way too long and took us 2 hours to check-in. Management kept saying that our room is not ready. When we finally got the room. It was not the one we booked from expedia pictures. We didn't like the room. When we asked the hotel management then they say we don't havr any other room. But if want to change the room so we have to pay extra. Please help me get partial refund. I'm looking forward to hear from you.

Horrible experience! The room was mediocre and the food was barely edible. There is no way this should even be rated 1 star. We had to leave the hotel because our room was broken into and the hotel could careless.

Friendly and helpful staff. Just be warned that they won’t give toilet paper in the room unless you keep asking each time it’s empty. Also you end up with no room towels as they take them to wash them they don’t replace them. I liked it here though.

This property was fairly average, however I got horrible food poisoning at the resort and went to the hospital where a blood test confirmed that I was indeed food poisoned. When I went back and told Elmer at Guest Services about this, he took no responsibility and said that I was drinking. I am not a drinker at all. I asked them if they would upgrade me for this impact on my vacation and they said no and that it was entirely my own fault. I find this highly offensive. They could have given me a better room or at the very least apologized for the inconvenience and wished me well but instead they blamed me. It was adding insult to injury. I was severely food poisoning to the point where I passed out and had to go to the hospital for an IV to reduce my fever, to get rehydrated and to receive antibiotics. I have the paperwork to prove it. It was an awful situation. It did not make my trip amazing but I tried to make the best of it. There were some really wonderful staff people like Fabian in the restaurant and Jesus in security. Generally people are quite nice but Elmer at Guest Services was awful. Web sites maintain that the hotel has kayaks and outdoor activities such as snorkeling. Apparently there is none and this is false advertising. The beach has big waves and quite an undertow- beware of rocks cutting, your feet or hitting your ankles as the strong waves come in and out. If only the hotel took some responsibility for what happened to me, it would have meant a lot.

It's not a fancy property, but gives you the feeling that you are in Mexico, the food was good and the variety of all the restaurants was perfect! Love that we were able to walk around the little stores , around property , and the availability of plan excursions right across the street, with many option of convinent stores.. love the 3 pools at different locations at the hotel, and the room that the offer us.i wish that there were more music/dancing options at night after the theater show, but over all, we are planning to come back because we loved our stay at canto del Sol.

Hotel is a little dated and could use some maintenance. Tennis courts were not available, being painted and clay courts not maintained. Not much for other activities. Food was good, no one was sick. I have stayed at other 3.5 star with more activities and entertainment, this one I would not go back unless a real good deal.

I loved the old Mexico feel. Not a snobby high rise. Rooms are what they are for the price. Staff is amazing. Food was good. Restaurants were great. Great location.
