Read this before booking!
This property was just listed so no reviews to read. The pictures told of a nicer upscale place.. something we wanted to treat ourselves for as we usually stay in basic places. We were in for a most disappointing stay to say the least. Here’s why:
Upon booking and paying we did not receive a receipt of full payment nor did we get the promised map and directions that we were told we would receive
We were directed to pay up before the day we arrived!!! We fully paid 2 months prior.
At the bus we waited for someone to pick us up. After 1/2 hour we got a taxi who took us to one nearby property. We were able to access their internet to contact the owner to get help locating the cabina. We were told that all the taxis knew Casa Wow… I informed the owner that this name wasn’t never advertised nor mentioned in emails
We eventually found the road to the place and walked. The gate was locked after being informed that the caretaker would be waiting for us. Eventually we were let in
Huge disappointment that led to tears. The place was dirty. The kitchen had not been used for a long time. The stove was covered in grease, the cutlery was a collection of coloured plasticware. All the cooking equipment was thrown in a jumble in a foam cooler. It was mismatched, broken-garbage. There were loose wires hanging around…the stove gave us an electrical shock when we tried to use the oven for nachos
We told the caretaker that did show up and through a translation app, cause he didn’t know English and we, no Spanish, that the stove was old!!! So??!!! We asked for batteries for the wall clock and were also told both clocks didn’t work
In the closets were clothes, personal kids toys and medications.
We were also told that the plumber would come and connect the water heater. That never happened
I did email the owner expressing our concerns and dissatisfaction. We never got a reply. Paid way too much. Not worth the price.
The only thing would be for us now is some kind of refund. We booked and paid for 6 nights. I would hope that the owner upon seeing this give us some kind of refund. Until things are fixed and cleaned and communication happens quickly don’t book here, please I will await some kind of financial reimbursement for the disappointment this place gave us during such difficult times
