I would like to tell you a story about Durham. Around two decades ago I met a beautiful girl while I was in school at NC State. I wanted to do something fun and take her out for a great time so we got tickets to a Durham Bulls season opener on Friday with fireworks planned for after the game. The weather was perfect and the evening air was crisp but the Bulls weren’t doing as well as we had hoped. We started to see people getting up to leave early as the Bulls were down 2 runs in the bottom of the 9th inning and the game was slipping away. We looked at each other and both just wanted the evening to continue as our first date was going well. Then the Durham Bulls started a comeback and loaded the bases. I will never forget the sound of that ball coming off the bat in the bottom of the 9th inning when BJ Upton hit a walk off grand slam to win the game- sending it over the Bull on the billboard in left field. The Bull’s eye’s on the billboard lit up red and smoke rolled out of his nose as we all cheered and the fireworks started going off in celebration. The atmosphere was electric, and I knew then and there that I had found something special. Today that beautiful girl is my wife and we have been blessed with 2 children. We always knew that Durham was special and now we have been blessed with this opportunity there. Come stay at the “Durham Bull Pen”.

We celebrate the rich history of the Durham Bulls and have included some fun throwback jerseys and other vintage baseball items in the decor. There is also a vintage Pachislo coin operated Japanese slot machine for lots of fun with friends and family during your stay.

Street parking is easily available and there is a dedicated spot in the driveway. Convenient to EV charging right across the street in the Golden Belt!
