Liked: Cleanliness, room comfort
Great communal spaces
A lovely place to stay, close to centre, loads of character and really nice communal spaces, kitchen and living rooms, bedroom was nice, bit noisy as on the street and walls were very thin, but it’s an older house.
My stay was clean and comfortable. My room was quite small and lacking room to place luggage. Kitchen and social area was very nice and homey.

Very confusing directions came the next day in “how too” get into the property. Unsure of parking situation—a person walking on street helped us by pointing out free parking on weekends. The owner kept messaging me that my credit card numbers were wrong and wanted me to “send them”. ??? This is the reason to use Expedia (which I used 4 previous nights) no problem. Owner wasn’t on-site to be able to handle. I’m still trying to figure out what was charged to my card or not?
Lovely place to stay! Quiet and quaint. The host was so kind and welcoming. Perfect place to wind down after a long day of exploring Iceland. Great location, right by Snaps bistro where you can have a fantastic meal!
I loved this place! The owner is very sweet and accommodating. We checked in early and we were able to relax with coffee while our room was being finished up. The hotel is in a great location and the black out curtains are a huge plus!
Gudrun and Fergus own this guesthouse. Very nice. The have shared bathroom ( water is pumped through the by the city from the geothermal pools under the ground so has a sulfur smell), shared kitchen and 2 shared meeting rooms. All very clean. Centrally located to downtown Reykjavik. We are practically the only ones there so we got separate rooms! Their kitty Pumpkin is sweet snd wanders around.
Beautiful property in an excellent location. The house was beautiful, warm and clean. No complaints other than a pesky sticking door on my room which was noisy to open
The Host was an excellent Resource and a questionnaire about a famous playwright from England his wife gave good directions to a New Year's Eve bonfire

fire alarm
the upstairs space was worn and torn,,the fire alarm battery beeped all night keeping us awake ,,and was very hot
Booked for two, clearly stated on the booking but when arrived (when someone eventually greeted us) the room was for one - in amongst significant construction work. The member of staff was very helpful, explained that the owner had meant to, but neglected to cancel and tried to find us alternative accomodation but still, what a mess.

Nice and clean, heating wasn't on but a quick play with the radiator fixed that. Didn't meet the owners but their cat was very friendly
Great location once you have found a parking spot. Very comfy.

Great stay, recommended!
Great room, perfect for travelling with our young daughter (crib provided, too!). Was a bit difficult getting the stroller in and out but it wasn't a big deal. You're right in the city here, 5mins walk from shops and sights and bars. Definitely recommend!
