Great Hotel! It's clean, organized, and convenient. The hotel is close to Copacabana and Ipanema Beach. Also, the hotel has a mall within walking distance. The only thing to keep in mind is if you are planning on going on a tour, the companies won't pick you up at this hotel.

Everything about this property was amazing, from the friendly staff, to the food & the overall cleanliness of the hotel. I am from Toronto but downloaded the Google Translator App and it has helped me during times. I did not receive my VIP benefits. In fact the staff member who checked us in did not explain ANYTHING to us. And I mean NO explaining of anything in or around the hotel. I went the next day to talk to a staff member and he was very nice and attentive. All of the other staff were pretty awesome.

Beautiful hotel and amazing value on our booking. The Expedia VIP perk was the free buffet Dinner. The building looks new and the room are spacious and very comfortable. The pool is fantastic, the beach is just down from the pool, across the street. We stayed three nights but would have enjoyed staying more.

I left a long review on Google but this property is amazing. I originally was only staying here for 5 days and was leaving to another area in Rio. I left after 5 days and stayed 1 day at another property and returned back to Hotel Nacionale. The employees, service, hospitality, safety, proximity to everything cannot be compared anywhere else. Stayed another 4 days at Hotel Nacionale and sooo grateful I did! I will never stay anywhere else!
