I was shocked so to speak. I grew up in Southern California and liked to go to the Mission Inn to see the Christmas lights and this year decided to stay over while meeting friends for dinner. Dinner was a delight! However when I return to my room the first thing I encountered was an overflowing toilet. I called twice. Gentleman finally came and fixed it. Then I noticed there was mold in the toilet. And then I noticed there was a bathtub ring of dirt like the bathtub had not been cleaned since it was used by someone at some time. Very disappointing! I reported my experiences during checkout and got a bland response.

Ridiculously noisy.
Extremely noisy. Our room overlooked the pedestrian mall and there was a guy playing the drums and loud music from the time we checked in at 5pm until 10:30, when the police showed up and shut him down. I had to call your security office twice about it and the police finally did show up. It was ridiculous that that is allowed to be played right where dozens of your rooms have customers. When I went to take a shower this morning, it didn’t work. When I pulled the nozzle up to have the water come out of the shower head, nothing happened. The bed and pillows, though, were very comfy.

We had a wonderful time. We came for Festival of Lights at Christmas. So beautiful. The hotel is georgeous and we explored the whole beautiful place. This place puts a smile on your face. Wish I could have loved it!
I wanted to love the stay because of the timing of the light festival and it being my birthday weekend but just couldn’t. The room has a dirty sock left from guest prior to us. The carpet had debris/ crumbs on it. The room did not come with wash clothes and I called the front desk twice to get one and never did. The bed linen had black hair in it. I’m a blonde so I know it wasn’t mine from our luggage. Just disappointed…

The Mission Inn itself is a beautiful, one of a kind property. Coming at Christmas in the middle of the Festival of Lights is magical. The lobby, the exterior, wow, just wow, an unexpected suprise. The rooms though are dated , the internet very spotty and the housecleaning was OK, not great. So, if not for the magic of the holiday event i would not stay there .

Went here to relax and enjoy holiday season. First of all, looking for the parking is horrible. Road close everywhere and traffic is ridiculous. Second, we were given a wrong room number. Third, the people who checked in upstairs on the third floor you can really hear them having sex so loud and the floor is squeaking a lot. Fourth, staff keeps bothering and knocking on the door to let us out at 11 when we’re just barely packing and about to head out and was just waiting for the family to come back to the room fifth, tried to check out and was told that system was down and was only given a paper receipt. Sixth, they were racially profiling us every time we are out of the hotel, asking us if we checked in and asking us for our key card if we really are a guest in the hotel. Seventh, up for room service for breakfast and our food is already cold by the time it got there. We were not satisfied and happy with our stay, we were supposed to relaxed and have fun and then wine, but the trip was really stressing us out instead. So if you plan to check in, just FYI, this hotel is not for you if you want noise proof and friendly staff
