Get a true taste of the lake life at Reel Relaxed, a spacious 4-bedroom, 3-bath vacation rental home, tucked in a private cove on Smith Mountain Lake. This lakeside gem is the perfect choice for a family retreat, with room for your entire family, 2 kayaks, and a game room with a pool table. Spend your days out on the private dock swimming and fishing, or relax with a BBQ on the private deck. There's something for everyone to enjoy at this lakeside retreat!
This 2,700-square-foot home is the ideal lake escape, offering optimal outdoor living and direct access to the water. Fish, swim, splash, and laugh from the home's private pier before enjoying a lakeside lunch at the picnic table. If you prefer more adventure, take one of the provided kayaks and life vests out to explore the lake! Nestled within the High Point community, 'Reel Relaxed' also grants you access to several neighborhood amenities, including tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. Inside the home, guests can stay entertained with either of the 2 flat-screen TVs with Comcast or ROKU. You can also take an old school approach and break out the board games. When hunger strikes, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary tools to prepare hearty feasts for your group. Be sure to take advantage of the spacious deck overlooking the lake, which is fully furnished with a gas grill and outdoor dining set for the ultimate afternoon BBQs! The lower level game room was tailor-made for entertaining. Gather around the gas fireplace for a family game night, challenge your companions to a game of pool, or simply kick back with a tasty cocktail crafted at the wet bar.
Although you'll have plenty of fun at your fingertips with this home's lakeside location, there's plenty more to explore around the area! Head over to Smith Mountain Lake State Park less than 15 minutes away for swimming, boat rentals, a boat ramp, and a universally accessible fishing pier. You'll also find an amphitheater, camping, and miles of trails to explore!
Want something a little more low key? Ramulous Ridge and Hickory Hill Vineyards are located just minutes away from the home and offer tastings of their locally made wines! If the greens and fairways are more appealing, hit the links at any of the surrounding public golf courses, such as Mariners Landing. This home also places you within a short drive of shops, restaurants, and entertainment in the small town of Moneta. The downtown area offers a grocery store, pizzeria, sushi restaurant, several retail stores, and an antique mall!
Amenities include a fully equipped kitchen, free WiFi, 2 kayaks, private pier for fishing and swimming, 2 gas fireplaces, 2 satellite TVs, board games, Master jacuzzi tub, game room with pool table and wet bar, and neighborhood amenities that include tennis, basketball and volleyball! This home has a steep walkway to the dock with 100 stairs.
This is a home that you will want to return to year after year!

Floater dock is 27 feet with two cleats. Guests can tie up to floater provided but cannot park in, under or around the lift.
Linens & Towels not provided. Available to rent through local linen service.

Good for a family trip
The home was in a quiet corner of the lake, a nice view and nice amenities. Space to comfortably sleep 9 in beds. We had plenty of space for our 4 adults and 1 infant. The property does not supply any linens or towels- I think supplying these for the listing would be a worthwhile improvement. (I’ve stayed in several dozen home rentals over the past 10-15 years and this is the first time I’ve never had linens supplied). Property management was quick to reply when asked questions.

Great Property
Everything in the listing was accurate and as described. Each bed was very comfortable which isn’t always the case when renting. Downstairs was great for entertaining, loved the pool table and portable speaker. The driveway had more stairs than I anticipated when you also factor in the stairs to the dock. My only concern was the width of the stairs going down to the dock. They weren’t consistent on sizing and you had to be very careful due to wet leafs as well as the stairs width size. Obviously leafs aren’t a controllable. I ended up slipping and slid down a flight of them. Overall would rent again.

Nice House But Not a Value
This is a comfortable house and the dock is great. But for this amount of money, I think sheets and towels and toiletries should be provided. There seemed to be a lot of extra fees that increased the per-night price by over a third.

Family vacation.
Great home. Bedroom and bathrooms perfect. Common areas laid out for family evenings together. Dock was the best yet for us because there was no boat lift in the way. Useable during the occasional rain. Hot tub was a bonus. Would definitely stay here again.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay- the great view of the water, the pool table and hot tub were a lot of fun! I only wish the sheets and towels were provided, it was an extra step to work with the other company and was somewhat of a hassle. This combined with all the extra fees was not ideal.

Family reunion
My brother and sister in law hosted a family reunion at their lake front home located directly across from Reel Relaxed. My three other siblings with their families also rented lake homes in the same cove. It was a perfect week. I must say Reel Relaxed was the best home of all. It’s a beautiful, comfortable and very well equipped rental property. Being familiar with the hilly terrain I was prepared for the brutal descent & climb. The stairs to the lake are in excellent condition and are a great design. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay.

Great place, too many steps
The house is great, on a pretty lot, and easy to find. The cove is SO peaceful! Comfortable furniture and beds. The boat dock is one of the better we've had in 6 years vacationing at SML, but the 105 steps down to it (and back up) lessened the appeal and were a bit of a struggle when provisioning the boat every day.

Peace and Relaxation
We rented this property for our daughter’s graduation from college. This house was great and we would stay here again! The house was clean and had so much space. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook family meals. There was so much to do and we never had to leave the house. It was great! We enjoyed the relaxing family time together!

Family Time - Spring Break
Our family of four had a wonderful visit. The property offered everything and then some....lake access, dock, hot tub, comfortable outdoor furniture, well stocked kitchen supplies, and comfortable indoor furniture. We really enjoyed kayaking right from the dock. Our dogs enjoyed the daily walks around the nice neighborhood. Will stay here again!!! Thank you!

Came to stay for the weekend with girlfriends. Place was very clean and convenient. Beautiful place right on the lake. We would definitely stay here again. There was no linens provided is the only thing. Kitchen was fully stocked with plenty of dishes.

Property location great in a small cove inside crystal shores large cove away from main lake. Easy access to local food lion and local restaurants . Drifters, Cowboy Napoli , Jake’s place, Mangos all great places to eat. Thanks for a great time.

Lakeside stay
Overall a nice getaway home. Lots of steps both to get to the front door and even more to get to the water, definitely not handicap accessible. Make sure to bring towels and linens. A lot of the house features are outdated, but it was fine for spending time outside. There are fishing supplies down by the water and three total kayaks.

Stair steps!
You have to be able to walk up and down stairs. Loading and unloading from the parking about 30 steps. From the house down to the dock about 100. Anyone with bad knees should be aware. The house was great. Very clean and comfortable. The location is quiet in the back of a cove which we enjoyed. Left our bass boat tied to the dock all week and never worried about anyone bothering it.
