I travel often and understand placing a card on hold for incidentals. However, the man at the front desk demanded cash for incidentals. I told him I don't travel with cash, but I can use my debit card or Venmo. He got very aggressive and said if I don't have cash, I cannot stay there. I tried to reason with him and reiterated that people don't carry cash these days, and he said "that's not my * &# problem!" The hotel would not refund my money for the night, and I called Expedia to explain the situation. Expedia reassured me, they "would escalate this and I would hear back from them in 24 to 72 hours…" I never heard back from Expedia… Terrible hotel, horrible customer service from Expedia. Expedia lied and never followed up with me. Their service is dramatically going downhill.
