Nice location, but sad condition of the house
The views of the ocean are superb ... hearing the waves crash as you w fall asleep or hopping on the beach and enjoying a small campfire. The interior condition of the home leaves a lot to be wished for (for the price we paid). Most blinds are broken, a hole in the drywall, and many of the kitchen and bathroom fixtures were not fully functional. It was clean, but just a bit sad ... especially considering that one would expect perfect accommodation for the price charged ... at least we did.

Beach as your backyard
Pros- The beach is the backyard and I’ve never stayed anywhere better on the Oregon Coast. Cons- Lots of work needed on this house. It’s beautiful but needs attention. Something you’d expect from an older home but it hasn’t been addressed. The bigger issue was they were working on the glass slider when we arrived. At one point the door came crashing into the eating area and missed me by a foot. The repairman apologized and said he needed to board it so we could not use it. He said he would return in the morning to fix it. We never saw him nor heard from anyone again and couldn’t use the door. Could only use the front door. I messaged through the app but never heard anything.

Mostly as advertised, enjoyed our stay despite showing its age.
We stayed here with 8 adults (family/4 couples) and there was plenty of room for us in the four main bedrooms. This place has lots of living space and the beachfront location is great. There’s also some bunk beds if needed. The master bedroom is pretty nice and the master bath is nice w/ heated floors. Master bed was pretty hard, all beds seemed a bit too hard for us. A few things a little lacking: Not much in the way of basics like plastic wrap, not much dishwasher soap, thin on TP and paper towels, although there was enough the three nights we stayed. Also, lots of burned out lights, downstairs bathroom fan didn’t work, several outlets in kitchen didn’t work, no instructions for any of the televisions (which seemed pretty old and there are cables hanging out from behind them all) and the cable/Dish reception was poor; the Wi-Fi did work very well. Double washers/dryers is great but one dryer was coated with sand inside, which I cleaned/vacuumed, for worry of it breaking and/or getting charged for damage/cleaning. Cosmetically, this place seems to show its age with nicks and dents in walls, doors, and trim, as well as loose ceramic floor tiles in main area downstairs, finishes on doors and cabinets earring thin, and signs of previous water damage in a few places on the ceiling, and really creaky upstairs floors. Also, several of the window coverings didn’t work properly, so being able to fully open or close them was difficult. The huge downstairs sliding glass door out to the deck is great, but difficult to open and get completely closed. Seems like lots of “green” on the deck and siding as well. We might stay here again, but for the cost, we will look around for another place in Rockaway. For the cost, it just seems like things should have been better taken care of with a bit more in terms of supplies. You know how it is though, it’s tough to find a place that actually looks like the pictures because the pictures were taken when they first started renting, so things at rentals usually don’t measure up to the pictures. We did have some questions and we got answers pretty quick messaging through the VRBO app.

Fantastic view
You can’t beat the view from the house & hot tub— the beach was our backyard & the large windows allowed for a great view even when inside. The house is situated on a street with a tourist- dense cluster of rentals & there’s a beach access that is right next to the house/hot tub, so if you’re wanting a lot of privacy, it’s not the best choice. We just drew the blinds on the windows on that side and it wasn’t a problem for us. We were surprised at how many beds there were— it could accommodate a very large group comfortably. The place was well-stocked with kitchen stuff and a good amount of towels. There were several flies in the house when we got there probably because the sliding door on the Oceanside didn’t have a screen & some of the other windows didn’t have screens. The hot tub was clean and perfect— right on the beach, but you don’t have to walk away from the house at all to access. There was also a round sunken fire pit someone had carved out, Which we used for roasting s’mores. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Had a good stay
It is a beautiful property with great views and very easy access to the beach. The hot tub and foosball table were a big hit with my folks. The cleaning crew could have done a better job because some of the the bed sheets were not clean/not washed, some of the stacked dinnerware in the cabinets was not washed well. Besides these, we had a good stay.

Family vacation
The home offered exactly what we were looking for--a house right on the beach. It was perfect! We could sit on the back deck and watch our grandchildren playing on the beach. The house was even larger than we thought and it was well stocked with anything we needed.

Fantastic House!!
This house was perfect for our work retreat, lots of room. The only thing we didn't realize until getting to the house is the hot tub is at the beach entrance for people. It was still wonderful but you do get attention from passersbys and everyone built fires right beside us.

Family Vacation
Great property for a beach vacation. We stay in multiple houses at the beach each year and this is a family favorite. The beach access is as good as it gets with beautiful sunsets over the ocean from the deck or hot tub.

Perfect location!
We rented the house for a long weekend with our family. The location is so nice, right on the beach with big windows and a great deck outside. We cooked on the grill one night end really enjoyed the well-appointed kitchen. Plenty of plates, silverware and glasses. Everyone said the beds were comfortable. If we're back in the area we would stay here again!
