Mökki rauhallisuudesta

Hyvällä maulla sijaitseva yksityismajoitus viidellä hehtaarilla aurinkoisella viljelysmaalla, josta on näkymät maalaukselliseen Mansellin laaksoon, jossa on lampia, viinitarhoja ja erilaisia villieläimiä.

Keskeinen sijainti, viiden minuutin päässä Gangesista, mutta kuitenkin avoimella maaseudulla metsä- ja peltopolkujen kanssa suoraan kiinteistöltä.

Täysin itsenäinen ja yksityinen, mökki ei ole unohdettu missään muussa ominaisuudessa. Rauhallisuus Mökki nukkuu kahdesta neljään: makuuhuone queen-size-vuoteella ja piilo-sänky oleskelutilassa. Suuri, katettu kansi, jossa japanilainen puutarha ja grilli. Yksityinen kylpytynnyri täydelliseen rentoutumiseesi. Ulkona oleva palokammio (jollei saarten palamisrajoituksia ole kuivalla vuodenaikalla). DVD, jossa valikoima elokuvia ja CD-soitin. Puhelin. Täysin varusteltu keittiö, jossa astianpesukone. Left after being there only for 1 hour
Unfortunately this place was not what we expected. We were not comfortable staying, made alternate arrangements and left within 1 hour of arriving. Messaged the host letting them know we left. We never requested nor were we offered any form of refund. copy/paste of messages: Me:When we entered the cabin, we were greeted with an off putting smell (bleach combined with?) and found that the space did not feel clean nor comfortable. This was surprising given the description in your listing and the many positive reviews. We were hoping for a more tasteful environment, as advertised.The issues were not something that could be easily addressed during our stay, so after a short time, we decided to book other accommodations and leave. Host: I checked, today, and I could not smell the bleach or any other smell. Everything looked lovely and clean. However, I appreciate that everyone’s taste is different and I am sorry the cottage is not to your liking. Me: After experiencing your place first hand, I am not entirely convinced that the positive reviews you have received are authentic. A costly lesson learned for us. The review I'm going to leave will not be positive one. Host: The guests who wrote those reviews actually STAYED at the cottage and experienced the full benefits it has to offer.You,on the other hand,merely walked in and out.So, if any reviews are inauthentic it will be yours. I am sorry you are choosing to take this vindictive approach.

Lovely cabin with privacy
This is a sweet spot and you can tell it’s well cared for by Philip and Kim. Communication was excellent. Hot tub was nice. Someone in an earlier review complained it’s under a tree however I loved it. When it rains it offers some cover and there is a portion you can still see the stars if it doesn’t. The birds love the trees around the house. The only thing that would make it perfect is a king bed. Also I would This is a sweet spot and you can tell it’s cared for. Communication was excellent. Bring drinking water!!
The setting is tranquil, yes, but the sulphur in the water is so strong that not only is the water not drinkable, the whole house smells of rotten eggs every time a tap is turned on. Bring your own drinking water!! The house is dated, though clean, and the mattress is old and concave and quite uncomfortable. Grateful for the hot tub as it was really clean and hot (and didn’t stink!) though it sits under a tree that blocks the view of the stars and sends bugs and leaves falling into the tub while mice run up and down it’s branches overhead. It should also be mentioned that the house sits atop an extremely steep gravel hill so coming and going is not easy. My friend and I were thankful for a safe and quiet space, but we would not return :(

Home away from home
Nice private cottage in a great location. Had all the amenities required and we loved the hot tub. As mentioned before in some of other reviews it’s needs a deep clean, windows, curtains washed etc to make it shine. Garden around house need to be tidied up and trimmed up a bit to make it feel more loved.

Cute little cottage
We had a lovely quick stay at this little cottage. Communication for booking was quick and easy. The place had everything we needed. The fridge was small but held everything we needed it to. The hot tub was nice. The surroundings were very peaceful and relaxing. It could have used a bit more of a freshening before our stay but it didn't impact our stay. Great area.

Cabin in the woods
A nice size cabin. Cozy and very private. A covered deck and entrance. But the cabin had a slight mildew smell as soon as you walked in. Hot tub was preheated, but could have used a quick clean. Bathroom could use some updates and a deeper clean, but the shower had good pressure and the toilet is newer and flushed well. Lots of towels for use. Loved all of the nature on the property...bunnies, deer, woodpecker. The dishwasher wasn't great at cleaning, but a quick clean with dishsoap after worked ok. Kitchen was well stocked with utensils, pots and pans, etc... Water tasted great for drinking. TV had no channels, but they had a large DVD collection for viewing. Lots of games and puzzles. All in all, it was a good place for a getaway, but needs a deeper clean, more regularly.

Connect and unwind
We had a marvoulous stay. It is so peaceful with all the ammenities thought of. A wonderful place to unwind after a day exploring the island. Take off your hiking boots, kick back and have a fire in the forrest, then a dip in the hottup surrounded by trees. Loved how private it was. Feels like camping but with luxery. 100 percent reccomend! We will be back!

Peaceful Haven in Nature
Kim and Philip’s cottage is such a quaint little cottage in the woods, just as described. Checkin was super easy and we felt well taken care of. Hot tub was clean and at the perfect temperature every night, and there was a great dvd, CD and games collection too! The holiday decorations were also a really nice touch. Thanks again! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a simple and peaceful getaway on Saltspring.

Unclean!
The cottage was unclean with mold by the tub, a full picture window in the tub, chips on floor from previous guest, numerous hand written notes of items not working, filthy hot tub, unable to communicate with owner due to their phone not working. Had to get in vehicle to drive down and see them. Decided not to stay there and left the same day we arrived. Pictures of the cottage certainly did not portray the real look of the place. Would not recommend.

So serene
Amazingly relaxing and tranquil and beautiful. We slept for almost 12 hours the first night! Loved the hot tub and everything about the cottage. Kim was very responsive and even mailed the small items we forgot (thanks again!)
