The ratings were right
We booked this room for a one night stay on the way to a family wedding, mostly because of the 9 rating for the price, but we were so impressed with the condition and staff that we stayed there again our last 2 nights on our return to San Francisco. Can be a little hard to spot the first time arriving but on a main road so easy to get to where you want to go. Gentleman at front desk was amazing- helped us with so many questions and went out of his way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Very convenient to most of the downtown attractions but walking only if in good shape- many S.F. streets are VERY steep. The rooms were spacious and very clean and well maintained. Of the 2 rooms we stayed in I could not find one negative thing to say. There is some street and traffic noise (it is in downtown) but did not disturb our relaxation or sleep. Would stay there again if our travels take us back to S.F.

Great location, facilities and service. However the property was very noisy, walls quite thin and we were woken several times by neighbouring rooms shouting at one another or walking loudly upstairs.

With all the Lombard Street motels, it's hard to know which ones are nice. This is one of them! It felt newly renovated, it was clean, parking was FREE, staff were kind. Thumbs up!

We were in town for a doctor visit. We ended up needing to stay in the city for surgery two days later. We were accommodated to an early check in. The rooms are completely remodeled. Everything is new and clean. Hotel also offers free parking. I had to extend my stay due to complications and the staff was incredible with assisting me with transitioning rooms. I will recommend this hotel over and over.

We stayed two nights. The rooms were very clean. The first night was horrible, a crowd of people were having a party in the room next to ours. The loud music, voices and the many people (much more than 4 per room)thundering past our door past 2am was very disruptive. We did call down to the desk at one point to complain about the noise. There was zero action taken by the staff to help with the issue. The second night was quiet and comfortable.

Hotel Done Well
I don't like giving reviews on places that I feel like I discovered. But it's not fair to a small business that is run so well. The owners of this hotel maintain it very well. You won't be able to pull a Karen meltdown with the front desk because the lobby is small and they are just checking you in. They give you the information you need and you go to your room. But once you get into your room, you realize just how well done and thought out the renovated rooms are. Clean and visually well done with great style. This hotel is the only hotel I've stayed at that has the latest USB 3 ports along with the older USB ports. This owner definitely had foresight in their design....Marriott and Hilton could take notes and learn from this hotel. La Casa Inn got everything right. Benny is a great guy and works very hard to make guests comfortable. Lastly....the bed! I spent 192 night on the road in 2024. I stay at chain hotels all year with beds that are horribly saggy soft junk. The beds here have a comfortable level of firmness without being like a board. Thank you La Casa Inn - W. Hill

The area feels safe. The building is old but has been recently renovated. There are people always talking outside your room. Sometimes after midnight. So noisy.

Great place to stay
Location was great, not far to walk to major sites and public transport close. The reception team were so helpful and friendly. The motel looks a little old from the outside but the room was very modern with a well done bathroom. Mini fridge worked well, king size bed, a working lift although a little slow. Easy parking.

The Casa Inn exceeded our expectations. The interior is beautiful and chic. Comfy beds and a great set up. The free parking was so nice and felt very safe. Bus stop right out side and there is a small elevator. Would definitely recommend!!
