Apt 10 in the heart of Old San Juan

Apartment 10 is a big apartment with Spanish luxurious decorations. The apartment was redone about 2 years ago. All the furniture was replaced at that time.
It has a balcony with a great view of the port of San Juan.
It has 2 big bedrooms and a sofa bed where 6 persons fit very well. Also, there are 3 portable air conditioning units. One in each bedroom and one in the living. There is WIFI in the apartment.
The furniture is very beautiful, and this apartment is great.
The location of this apartment is in the prestigious area of Cristo Street 103. In this street is where the best historical monuments of Puerto Rico are.
At walking distance from this apartment are the Spain era Morro and San Cristobal Forteses both made by Spain to defend Puerto Rico from Pirates of the Caribbean and foreign invasions. Also, the apartment is at walking distance from the Cathedral of Old San Juan a jewel and made by Spain during the 1500.
This apartment is also at walking distance from Santa Catalina Palace a very historical Palace made by Spain in the 1600 and has been the home of all the Governors of Puerto Rico since Spain conquered Puerto Rico in the 1500.There are tours to see this beautiful Palace.
TJ bar is on the first floor of the building, good for an end of the day drink.
So come and stay in this apartment and enjoy Puerto Rico.
Staying in this apartment will be a great Puerto Rican experience.

The absolute worse experience ever! Pipe was broken in the bathroom gushing out lots of water plus the toilet does not work. I had 2 kids with me and no bathroom! The host is extremely rude and said we could use the bathroom at the Wendy’s around the corner…. Spent an entire day trying to get a hold of the host who simply goes not care

No don’t stay
We arrived at our unit and someone was staying there already. The owner decided to move us to another unit which had no electricity or hot water we had to leave out and pay more money for the remainder of our stay 5 days. She told vrbo she would wire transfer the funds Monday. Monday afternoon she didn’t respond to me or the vrbo host. It’s been 5days since and we leave out today with no refund. I hate that this happened because the hotel itself was nice and the location was amazing! The owner didn’t stand up for what they said and I hate to even have to write this review as me and the kids were excited to stay at the unit!

Picture on VRBO did not represent the property that we walked into. The building had graffiti on outside wall and door entrance. The property's entrance looked neat but the steps hadn't been washed in some time. Apartment was very clean but the Ac was not on. Rooms smelled stuffy. Furniture has been used, not like pics. Hallway smoke detector was dirty and hanging off the wall. Bathroom single light did not work so we're not sure how well the cleaning was done. Last bedroom had a door that was taped closed with duct tape. The balcony onto the street had construction board on part of the railing, for possible repair and the plaster was falling apart on the underside of same balcony. We were traveling with my mother and as 3 women, who have traveled extensively, this was the worst that we had ever seen.

Excellent spot
I rented this place to visit OSJ and the spot was perfect for us as we were only there to sleep and drink some Medalla on the balcony. It's an old building so it is what it is. It's hot in OSJ but the 3 climatization units helped keep the place cool enough to sleep well. There was no wi-fi at the time of our visit. Renting this apartment was easy and the owner was responsive. A toaster would have been great for breakfast. The pub is closed, so we we not bothered by noise at any time. Overall, I give a 4/5 and I would probably try to rent this place again if I come back to Old San Juan.

Great location
This is an inexpensive place in old san juan. For the price its good. If you expect it to be spic and span go spend a ton at a hotel. If you want a safe inexpensive place this is it. It also has hot water. Ive stay in several places with no hot water. So that is awesome. This is an authentic old san juan apartment. Make sure your expectations on it being modern are in line with an OLD san juan. Will stay again. Great location

Do not stay here!!! Place looks sketchy-entryway is open to the public. Anyone could just walk up to the second floor and break into the apartments. back room door lock looks broken. This room also has a mysterious door in the back that is duct taped!!! Yes, you read that right…duct tape! I wish i could add photos/videos for you to see! Portable acs in bedrooms only and barely blow anything. It was extremely hot. We arrived around 730 pm and did late dinner and ran errands. We got back around 11 pm and rooms were still hot! Needless to say, i didn’t not even stay 1 night here. I had 5 days/4 nights booked but i rather be safe than sorry. I contacted Expedia and they claim it’s not a safety concern!! I’m very disappointed in them and refuse to use them again!

The posted pictures do not reflect the actual apartment. It was not clean there was hair left in the tub. Theres not centeral a/c only two portal air conditioners, one in each room, however no one can sleep in the living room due to the heat. Therefore, its only for 4 people not 6, because the livingroom was not an option. We had to buy a fan and it was still too hot. The shower facet broke the very first night. The owner is combative. I requested a refund the first night because it was unbearable, however the owner basically called me liar and was very rude. We decided to stay because of the location and it was hard to find another hotel for 6 in such short notice. I wouldnt stay there again nor would I recommend it to anyone. The only redeemable quality is the price and location.

Awful uninhabitable horrified dirty disgusting
We were welcomed by a huge cockroach at the door. Upon entering we found filth, unmade beds, dirty dishes, wet towels piled on the toilet, black mold in bathroom, wires hanging over the couch and down walls, a back door that was wired shut with gaping holes to the outside, two small floor air conditioners that were so loud you couldn't hear, old worn out appliances, old rickety furniture, and mops and brooms in the corner in a bucket that was utterly disgusting. This place is uninhabitable. We stayed there long enough to take pictures and a video of the filth. We the at 5:00-6:00 pm had to quickly try and find another place to stay for 5 of us 70-year-old adults. We tried contacting the owner who was very difficult to deal with and seems to call anyone who writes a bad review a liar. We have also contacted VRBO who is not very helpful either. We have filed formal complaints. We have used VRBO numerous times and never had an experience like this. DO NOT EVER BOOK THIS PLACE.

The only thing that really like was the ubication of the property located in an excellent area with everything accessible. The property itself was in terrible conditions,too old I would say needs a lots of work,there was no A/C just 2 little portable units that was not enough for the 112* temperature in San Juan PR. the property host very unprofessional and very rude,I was on the phone with her and she hanged up when I asked for solutions regarding the A/C. BOTTOM LINE DONT YOU EVER BOOK HERE UNLESS THEY HAVE FIXED ALL THE ISSUES AND MAKE IMPROVEMENTS not to mention that there was no internet.

Beds were okay. Location was great. Besides that showers were very dirty, she barely every texted back when we needed help, the AC was terrible and it was incredibly hot in there and lastly the Water cut out and we couldn’t shower.

Great location
This property is in the middle of old san juan. Two blocks away from the umbrella street. Which is why it makes it such a perfect stay to hang out and walk everywhere. The location os perfect. The apartment is a little outdated. The portable ACs are programed to not move temp. One of the bedrooms has a door whixh is locked with some sort of string strings but it didnt make it unsafe. I just fidn that odd. The smaller bedroom had a ant colony and although we got rid of it the firt day upon arriving, the snts kept coming back and they were tiny. Mt 10 year old was disgusted by the tiny ants. Apt 10 has a regular aize fridge which that was a plus for us since we had a one year old and did do some food shopping. Apt 10s location was just so perfect but the apt needs a little updatss for it to be perfect. Overall we enjoyed our stay here

If you’re a foodie and exploring by foot do yourself a favor and book this property!!! This trip was a magic ride of great unique food, wine, women and song!!! Throw in a lot of island time and bam a home run location that brings it all together!! Would stay here again and again etc Puerto Rico has it all!!!

This property was in a great location for us! The quality of apartment could’ve been better, but it was okay for the price. The bed was comfortable and great sheets. We never used the kitchen. The portable air conditioners were nice in each room. The owner was accessible if needed which was nice.

I really stayed in apt 9 but they are mirror images of each. As they say in real estate..location is everything. The location of this apt is worth the daily rate alone. Cathedral..250 feet, San Juan gate (red gate) 3 short blocks, 3 blocks to Iglesia San Jose, plaza V, Mary Magdalene cemetery, el morro fort, grocery store and pharmacy 3 blocks, places to eat…Everywhere! My favorite part of the apt was the balcony overlooking Calle del Santo Cristo, morning coffee watching the old town come awake, after dinner people watching as they go up and down the street. I brought ear plugs with me because I knew it was above a bar, TJ’s. And there were two more hopping bars with in two doors. Once I shut the balcony doors and went to the main bedroom in the back you would never know here were 3 bars within 50 feet. Never had to use the ear plugs. The place could use a little cosmetic touch up here and there but it did not impact my stay in any way. If you want perfect paint and plaster go across the street to el convento..$350-400 a night and you don’t get a balcony. I stayed for 4 weeks and may go back again for next February
