The room was clean and organized, quite comfortable and spacious. However, there was no coffee and there was no soap in the bathroom. On saturday when we went to the breakfast the coffee and the milk were not hot. There was only one kind of fruit . In other words the breakfast was so regular.

The property is very well appointed, very close to old San Juan as well as the mall. The hotel itself can be a little cleaner especially in the rooms and the front desk could not be reached after 4pm which was an inconvenience.

I recently stayed at Costa Bahía in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and unfortunately, my experience was far from what I expected. Upon entering my room, I immediately noticed a strong musty odor, and as I looked around, there was visible mold along the walls and ceiling. The air was thick with humidity, making the room uncomfortable, and it seemed like the AC system wasn’t doing enough to combat the dampness. This was not only unpleasant, but it also raised concerns about the cleanliness and overall maintenance of the property. I understand the challenges of managing humidity in a tropical location, but it seems that more attention should be given to ensuring that rooms are properly ventilated and mold-free. I couldn’t enjoy my stay or relax in the room as I had hoped, however I expressed my concerns to the management at the front fest and they did the best to help me the next day they were able to change my room which has less smell. While the location of the hotel is great, breakfast was good and staff was friendly I cannot recommend it unless they address these serious issues. I hope the management takes steps to fix the mold and humidity problems for future guests.

We expected “simple” which quickly became “unacceptable” The hotel is very hard to find. There is no parking for the Costa Bahía hotel and the nearest parking garage is an awkward walk 5 min walk through a shopping plaza. The hotel offers a $15/day parking on the third level of said parking garage. Security and reception were standoffish and less than eager to help direct us and answer our questions. The hotel room showed general signs of wear and tear that had not been maintained. The bed was not properly fitted and had miscellaneous stains. The bathroom was dirty and the shower was covered top to bottom, wall to wall with mold. We drew the line there and decided we would be ending our stay at Costa Bahía Hotel before it had even begun. We had already booked and paid for the week so we called Expedia and tried to get as much money back as possible. All that was offered was a $100 credit with Expedia. While we were reminded that we could not be fully refunded due to the past due date, however, this was not satisfactory because we left due to cleanliness expectations not being met. This hotel is a solid 1/5 due to cleanliness, hospitality and ease of access. No view or deal is going to beat everything that it will cost you, in our case, nearly $1000.
