Shocking that we had a leaking AC and we had to turn it off to thaw out for a couple of hours then back on for a while!! It was very hot! After 3 days the AC company came and said it needed a new coil but he had to order it!

Smell, as soon as we walked in we smelled the mildew, not knowing the AC was leaking, we thought it was the damp towels that were left ON the BED. We called immediately about this and did not hear back until the next day and no one came from Benchmark until Saturday. We used Lysol and air freshner due to the terrible smell. My daughter in law stayed one night at 30A Inn for 400 dollars as she was pregnant and could not take the smell.
Towels, We had six guests, wet towels and only 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels and 2 washcloths. I called immediately to request towels and they stated they had to come from a warehouse and we did not get until the next day. We bought wash cloths and used our personal beach towels and 2 of us showered at a friends condo.

AC issue, Around 11 pm we were woken by a loud knock on the door. The downstairs guest said water is coming into her condo from us and were we bathing? NOPE washing dishes: NOPE Running water anywhere: nope…. We advised the AC was leaking. Around midnight a benchmark repairman bangs on our door and wakes us up again! We told him the problem. Still no one came to fix this unit. The air conditioner did not consistently work, because it kept freezing up, therefore, we had to turn it off to thaw then back on to cool. Water was seeping through the flooring in the kitchen which was causing the smell and I had to put towels down and keep wiping it up to ensure not trip/slip. And it was causing a leak into the below unit.
AC, I called immediately and a maintenance person came on Friday Stating he would have the AC company come at 6pm to fix he advised that we cannot keep the unit cold as that is why it is freezing up. I paid for AC, not AC to freeze up, turn it off and burn up then back on for a ridiculous cycle. AC company did not arrive that night and it was HOT.

A benchmark representative advised via text that after our stay they would look into compensation or a discount for the problems. STILL water leaking from the AC, AC not able to run due to freezing up. FRUSTRATING
