THE SPACE
4 level home features 4,000 sq ft of living space total (3,000 in main portion of home and additional 1,000 in mother in law apartment)
6 bedrooms in total (4 main, 2 MIL)
3.75 baths (2.75 main / 1 MIL)
The first level of the main home features an open living area which includes formal living room, dining room, family room, spacious kitchen, half bath, and large open hall with bench seating and cubbies for storage.
The second level boasts 3 large bedrooms and two baths. The primary bedroom has a king bed and we can add in a pack and play for a baby or small child + en suite bath, the 2nd bedroom has a queen bed, and the 3rd bedroom has 2 twin beds. The second bath on this level is off the hallway and shared between the 2 non-primary bedrooms.
The 3rd level bedroom has a queen bed, and 2 twin bunk beds (4 total). The 3rd level also features a large 86" smart TV + another large TV for gaming, plenty of entertaining and play space, ping pong + foosball tables, and a bar area with small fridge.
The MIL apartment has a completely separate entrance and includes it's own full kitchen, full bath, dining / living / office area and 2 bedrooms (each with a queen bed) + a queen size pull out sofa and a regular sofa in the living area. The bathroom is off the hallway not en suite.
The large, (by Seattle standards) 4,800 sq ft fully fenced yard contains a courtyard with outdoor dining area, grassy play space, a play structure with swings for children, bbq area, and 2 off-street parking spaces off the alleyway.
GUEST ACCESS
This listing is for the whole main home (3,000 sq ft 4 bedrooms, 2.75 baths) which can sleep 14 adults in beds, and up to 3 babies/ small children in pack and plays, AND the MIL apartment (extra 1,000 sq ft 2 bedrooms, 1 bath) which can sleep an additional 5 guests in beds, (1 queen in bedroom, 1 queen in bedroom, 2 sleeper sofas in main living area).
You also have exclusive access to the backyard, playset, back courtyard, and parking pad off the alley.
The house is great for large groups or extended families traveling together, and its very child friendly -- we have stocked it with things like pack and plays, umbrella strollers, and high chairs so you dont have to travel with all those items.
THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Queen Anne is THE BEST and most desirable neighborhood in Seattle!
No where else can you be downtown in 5 minutes, yet still feel safe and removed from the hustle and bustle. The house is located on the crown of the hill, so everything is pretty much flat and walkable here compared to most of hilly Seattle. And there is a lot to walk to -- award winning bakeries and restaurants, quaint boutique style shops, and ample necessities like grocery stores and dry cleaners.
Queen Anne boasts many neighborhood festivals, and a weekly Thursday night Farmers Market in the summer that a good portion of the neighborhood turns out for to buy fresh produce and have dinner together.
Being one of the oldest neighborhoods in Seattle, it also has stately picturesque homes, tree lined streets, gorgeous views of the Space Needle, downtown, and the Puget Sound, as well as, many many parks, playgrounds and activities for everyone.
GETTING AROUND
Parking is free and generally easy (by Seattle standards) in the neighborhood and our part of Queen Anne does not require a permit as much of the city does.
There are several bus lines to take you anywhere you need to go in the city within a 3 block radius, or its easy to get a service like Uber.
OTHER THINGS TO NOTE
We have been hosting vacation rentals for over 10 years and we love the experience and getting to know folks from all over the world. Because we mostly host larger groups, we find that our guests are usually here to celebrate something together and we love being a part of that in some small way :)
We do have a rental contract (uploaded and visible on VRBO) we need guests to sign within 7 days of receipt, but other than that, really our goal is to provide the most a comfortable and clean well kept rental home, as well as, an awesome Seattle experience.
