First, the positive: The location was great, and the view from the top deck was amazing! I was able to ride my bike to many different trailheads, so ticked that big box solidly. Check in was easy, and the host was fairly quick to respond to questions, and to get in touch with us about some of the house AC settings that we needed to manage. Slept fine, beds and linins were clean and soft and a great closure to a day of activity. Plenty of hot water for showering.
On the negative side, it came down to the overall lack of care with the property that let you know the owners look at it as a purely commercial enterprise. This is fine, but for what we paid, I'd have expected everything to be in perfect repair. There were obvious drywall cuts (1/4" gaps) in the bathroom and across from the kitchen island - multiple jagged cuts with screws holding the sections in place (both about 20"x20"). There were multiple light switches with tape over them with "don't use" scrawled on them. The shower head and it's support structure were not attached to the wall - some double sided tape had been used and it was no longer working, and the tub had peeled sections of laminate. The dishes in the dishwasher were generally clean, but quite a few had to be hand washed due to dried food on them, and many of the pots were past their prime and need to be replaced (surfaces were very rough/grimy looking, not appealing for cooking on). The couch looked luxurious in the picture but the back cushions were not attached, so if you leaned back, they slid off. Not ideal if you wanted to kick back and watch some TV.
Again, great location, and if these low-cost issues were taken care of, it could have been 5 stars.
