The Absolute Best!
If you are coming to Lay Lake, or Shelby County at all this is by far the best place to stay. The lot is absolutely perfect on a peninsula on the main river channel with the best views from all sides, the house is breathtaking, and the representatives are super awesome and easy to deal with. I’d give 10 stars if I could. We will be booking again for our tournament next year I assure you if you get the chance you will not regret!

Beautiful Lakehouse
My husband, son and I surprised my dad for his 84th Birthday with a little vacation on the lake. We had a great time together making memories in your beautiful home! We loved the large rooms and especially the beautiful bathrooms and extra large showers. My mom cannot walk without assistance and has dementia. She needs to sit in her shower chair while I help bathe her. The extra large shower was so helpful for this! My husband and I especially loved that you left more than 1 trash bag and plenty of soap and toiletries. It was also great having more than one towel and one washcloth per guest. The snacks and coffee/tea station added a special touch. Thank you so much for being such generous and hospitable property owners. We definitely plan to visit again!

Great House
The house was clean and nicely furnished. Plenty of room to move around and the house stayed cool even though the temp was in the 90's. The covered boat dock was really nice and made my fishing trip so much easier. I actually had a cranking battery go dead on me and replacing it under the covered dock was really nice. Having a gate to enter the property was great. Really like the electronic door locks. Contacting the property contact person was easy and he returned my messages quickly. Will definitely stay at this house again.

We loved everything about this house from the open floor plan, the cleanliness of the house, comfortable beds, amazing views from inside the house, the fire pit by the lake and the paddle board and kayaks. The host met us at the house to give us the boat keys and he was very personable and courteous. We enjoyed everything about our stay. Thank you!

Couples fishing trip
This property did not disappoint! No detail was spared in making this the perfect spot for comfort and relaxation. And the views! The property was designed and situated to take advantage of panoramic scenery. Our fisherman were especially appreciative of the private boat ramp and dock. There were 3 couples and we all commented that you couldn’t go wrong with any of the 3 bedrooms….all 3 were comfortable and had their own baths. We will definitely stay again if back in the area. Awesome trip!

High School Fishing Tournament
We brought several boys down for a high school fishing tournament on Lay Lake. Our stay was perfect! There was tons of space for us! The boys enjoyed all of the fishing off the property and off of the dock! We had an amazing time and made tons of memories!! Would love to stay again in the future!

Beautiful Lake House
House was beautiful with gorgeous views and was well equipped. Had everything you needed and more. Very well thought out. Staff was really nice and helpful and answered all our questions. Felt like you were on your own little island. Did not have any issues what so ever but was surprised of the surrounding neighborhood. A beautiful property to stay in, cook, relax, enjoy the view and all the amenities the property has to offer. We had 4 people but would also be great for a larger group and has another house on the property that is equally as beautiful. It was on the corner and had views from every angle. Peaceful, quiet, and relaxing.

Perfect for Quality Time with Family
We spent a delightful time in this spacious home celebrating several family milestones. The house had many family friendly spaces and also many separate rooms when you wanted some alone time. We appreciated the firewood and materials to make s’mores! One small piece of advice would be to bring enough dishwasher pods if you plan on cooking and cleaning a couple of days they provided 2 in our case but that’s a very small inconvenience.

Beautiful house and views!
Can’t say enough about this spectacular house. It is spotless and views are incredible! Micah the host was very quick to respond to any questions and made sure we had everything we needed. We spent several days here with family and there was plenty of room for all. We enjoyed having a nice large table for meals, a fire pit for roasting marshmallows, a pool table, paddle boats. playing corn hole and enjoying the nature all around us. My dog enjoyed catching his frisbee in the water. You will not be disappointed, as a matter of fact we have booked it again.

Beautiful house with views from the lake from most rooms
We had a wedding in the area and this house was very nice for my family to get together. It is well appointed and updated. Professionally decorated. There was even a nice snack box waiting for us when we got there. Nice touch. The only isseu was the pre communication a month out or so. I emails via VRBO 3 times with no response, whcih caused me to call VRBO to inquire if this listing was real. VRBO was not helpful. A week or so out we finally heard from someone and then things were great including the day we moved in and had questions. I woudl highly recommend staying at this property.

Perfect Birthday Celebration!
This was the second time we rented this house. It is one of our favorite vacation rental homes. The pictures do not do it justice. The views are spectacular and we particularly enjoyed watching the herrings, boats, sunsets and the moon. There is plenty of room for everyone to spread out and the host is very friendly and helpful. This was a perfect 70th Birthday Celebration. We will be back!

What a great place
It’s a very nice house. The photos may not do it justice. Beautiful views over the lake. Great communications from the manager or owner, who was very attentive and forthcoming. We loved the house, and would definitely return.

Slice of paradise!
This property is stunning—inside to out. With the panoramic views of the lake to the cleanliness of the interior it was PERFECT!! Communication with the host was excellent. This was such a fantastic getaway for our family to relax before going into the grind of school. Everything in the house was well thought out —from the fire pit, to household essentials, air conditioned garage game room, kayaks/paddle board set-up! We were blown away. This will be the first of many stays for our family. Thankful to have stumbled across this rental. It was one of our favorite summer trips EVER!

Absolutely fabulous home on the lake. Spacious, clean, well stocked. Lake living at its finest. Access to paddleboat, kayaks, floats, jet skis, and boat. Lots of sleeping space and plenty of bathrooms. Lake luxury.

Baseball Tournament Getaway
Stayed here for one of the Perfect Game Baseball Tournaments in Hoover. The 45-55 min drive to the fields was sooooo worth it. The house is fantastic, great outdoor areas. Enjoyed grilling and firepit chats. The kayaks and paddle boards are a great bonus. Would highly recommend staying here vs a hotel for all of our baseball friends. Would recommend staying here for a relaxing lake vacation as well. Host was very responsive to all of our needs, kept refilling the charcoal and firewood. Thanks for everything!
