Fabulous Location for a Beach Vacation
We loved our stay at Gertrude's Village House. The location is fantastic. Just a short walk to the beach and to the village where there is easy access to restaurants and shopping. The house was a perfect size for our family and the sunsets on the beach were amazing. Highly recommend Gertrude's Village House.

We had a great stay at Gertrude’s. Nice-sized bedrooms and just enough common space to set up a tree and celebrate Christmas morning. Our 28-63 year old group enjoyed the close proximity of restaurants and shopping.

We had a great stay! The place was close to the beach and the village . We had everything we needed- chairs and a wagon which is nice when you come from a distance . Dan and Anna were great when we had a minor problem with the hot water which was fixed in a timely manner. Thank you so much .

Quiet yet close to everything
Even though we were only one block behind the bustling main drive with lots of traffic, the home was exceptionally quiet and peaceful. It was very clean with enough space for the family to have space. Very short walk to the beach with a wagon and umbrellas and chairs (though we brought our own). The only negative was the water pressure in the shared bathroom, but the master bath shower was good. Loved that there was also an outside shower to help avoid tracking in sand.

Great Location
Our stay was nice and the place is in a great location. Restaurants, coffee, groceries are all in your backyard and a very short walk. The beach is about a 2 minute walk down the street. I will say that the place itself is cute, but it is small. We had 8 people staying and I cannot imagine fitting any other bodies in the house, there isn't anywhere to place luggage so it's a tight squeeze. If you are out all day at the beach, then no worries, but if you are stuck inside with rain like we were, it's crowded. Check in was super easy and the owner provides a really nice guide book when you check in. Overall, a cute place with a great location and I'd stay again, but probably not with 8 people. Thank you!

Wonderful
We were pleasantly surprised to see what an amazing location this is! Everything is within walking distance and the beaches are so beautiful. The unit was clean and comfortable- everything was as stated. The beach chairs/wagon/umbrella set up was perfect!! We slept great after full days soaking up the sun on the beach and then eating/shopping and exploring. We will be back!

A comfortable house in a fantastic location
Would highly recommend this house for a family looking to make the most of the beach and village of Siesta Key. Very thoughtful and comfortable home with some unique benefits. We especially loved the two parking spaces and the private entrance to the main drag of the village. So convenient to the beach and the best of Siesta Key.

Party house
We stayed at the Gertrude Village House for 10 days over Christmas and New Year’s with grandparents and two children. The place was clean and contact was good with Daniel. However would say it was a little shabby, certainly for what we were paying (peak season so a very high nightly rate!). Light bulbs needed replacing, the plug in the sink wasn’t working and the drawer in our bedroom could only open a few inches because it was stuck inside a closet. Daniel addressed all these issues (except the drawer) promptly, sending someone round on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day. But for such a high price I also had high expectations and was disappointed that I had to spend time sorting stuff like that out. The place is nice though the kitchen is a bit small (a half sized dishwasher is not great for 6 people). There was a bit of noise at night from the nearby nightlife but it didn’t disturb our sleep. The location is fantastic- you are right near the action. In sum, this house is perfect for a bunch of young people there to party, and functional but not ideal for a family.

The 7 of us loved our stay at Siesta Key. The house was in the perfect location, just 2 minutes walking to the large beautiful public beach and a couple of minutes to the center of town. Dan was very helpful and immediately available when we had a small plumbing issue. We'd love to return next year.

Great location and outdoor space!
We throughly enjoyed our stay - the beach and the village were closer than we even anticipated! The outdoor patio space was just perfect for our desire to be outside. Our only suggestion (and it really didn’t matter to us) is that I think the listing does state that there is a tub/shower in both baths, but one bath is just a large shower. Great place!

Wanted to love it, but...
My family and I really wanted to love this place but unfortunately, I cannot say that we did. 😔 The location of the home is great and Daniel was very accommodating and responsive. Other than that, we ran into several issues during our stay. And there were several. But my biggest complaint is the mattress in the queen size room. Very, very uncomfortable to the point to where my husband and I had to switch the rooms with our daughter to get some sleep at least. This house has a potential but it needs a lot of TLC. There were multiple things that broke during our stay and some fun run ins with roaches in the bathroom. For the price that we paid for one week stay, I would expect comfort and no inconveniences. It is not a house that I would rent again.

Best girls trip ever! Perfection!
Location was perfect! Property was perfect! Host was perfect! Daniel's property and hosting was among the best. We couldn't have asked for a better weekend. Gertrude's Village House was comfortable and had everything we needed. One of the most important things for me is a comfortable bed. . . and Gertrude did not dissapoint. Check in and out was a breeze. Location was amazing. Thank you Daniel!
