Staff was not super smiling at reception, which is usually not a great sign. room a little small and dark . Outdated furnitures. Because I’m tall water was flowing outside the shower. Breakfast okay. Beautiful rooftop and pool though. Wouldn’t stay longer than one or two nights. But overall hotel is ok.

3 night stay for family

Booked at last minute. Check in was fine, room small for the price and had a permanent smell of damp. Room was quiet and we enjoyed the roof top pool. Cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. Check in staff were only two people for a very busy hotel. Coffee was close to SGD10 at the hotel restaurant which is double the going rate. Would not stay there again.

Cheap and basic. Rooms very small but very clean and tidy. Dining is limited and bar closes at 8.30! Location not great as on the outskirts of town but only a short walk to the train station.

Typically, if I have a late arrival to a hotel, I write ahead to confirm that my room will be held. Well, no one responded the first time or the second time. Finally after three tries, I received a confirmation, and without any apology for the delayed response. When I did arrive, another person tried to cut in front of me at the front desk to check in. After settling down into my room, I noticed that there was no hot water for the shower and no heat coming from the thermostat. I reported the thermostat twice but had a cold room each night for five nights. While it was warm and humid outdoors, the room was quite cold at night, making it a bit uncomfortable. As for the shower, I never had any hot water the entire stay. Most of the staff I met did not fit my standard of what I would call a four star hotel. Will probably not recommend this hotel.

After a long flight, it was great to get into the room a couple of hours earlier than the regular check-in time. Even a bigger surprise was to find in the room complimentary water, juice and snacks. That made our stay more enjoyable.

Dissatisfaction

Awful check in, a receptionist who barely spoke any English, she was unable to provide any advice or support. The reception had tons of brochures and materials for tourists-all in Mandarin. At check out, the same receptionist assured me through gesturing that I don't need to order a taxi for the airport, and pointed to the downstairs lobby where supposedly taxis were waiting. There was non waiting, and I needed to go back, find a person who speaks English and get the taxi order in. Very chaotic service at reception at all times, strongly discourage any and all English speaking tourists to book here. I won't ever again.

Good choice

It's a very nice hotel—good position, within walking distance to the city centre, approx 20 min. Breakfast is okay. The rooms are okay, and the price-quality ratio is acceptable for SGP; it is very good.
