Great Place and Location!
Great place and great location for a ski trip with the family! Clean, well stocked, and good communication from the host. 30 min to Seven Springs, 30 min to Laurel Mountain, and 15 min to Hidden Valley. Would gladly stay again, thanks!

Just right!
Holiday stop over night between ski days. Plenty of space to spread out, recharge, and relax (we had 4 with room to spare), and even catch up on laundry. Full kitchen and the game room area were much appreciated. Great host, great spot, and no hassles. Thanks!!

Weekend Getaway w/views!
The home is just as described & more. It’s an older home that has been updated inside. 3 bedrooms/ 1 bathroom. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything one would need including coffee & creamer. (The important stuff!! 😊) We were pleasantly surprised by the backyard outdoor space. I don’t remember seeing pictures of that area in the listing - but the fire pit & swings were an absolute hit with us. (Hubby took note of the swing structure - and we will soon have one of those at our own home!) The one change we would suggest is to have a ceiling fan in the living room to circulate the air. There is AC in two of the bedrooms, but something to circulate the air in the main living space would be great. All in all we had a great time in a very comfortable & relaxing home - we would definitely stay again if we are in the area.

A very good property for families

The house was very small but clean and stocked with the things you would expect to be there. The hosts were great - Very friendly and very responsive to questions or concerns. Our primary complaint was the quality of the furniture in the living room. While it was very clean and looked nice, sitting on it was quite uncomfortable. The cushions were very deep and very broken down. Even the cushioning on the armrest was broken down so that when you put your arm on it you were resting on the wood frame. This could definitely be a problem for older adults. Having said that I would note that the furniture in the game room was comfortable. In fact, the game room would be great for families with children. There were lots of games and toys available. But, no television so unless you enjoy the games and toys it’s not quite so great for just lounging, resting or enjoying a little TV!

Clean house with a great host
The house was nice and clean, and well stocked with towels and coffee! It would have been nice to have better photos of each room on the listing. I didn’t realize until we arrived that the dining room table, game room, and some of the seating was all in a separate room behind the kitchen, which was in an unheated part of the house. Our three kids sat at the stools in the kitchen instead, and the parents ate nearby in the living room. Besides that inconvenience, the house was great and Leyna was a fantastic host—very responsive and friendly throughout our stay.

Convenient & affordable house stay with great amenities
This home was the perfect stay for our family, which included a newborn and our dog. The bedroom layouts allowed us to spread out, the main portion of the house & living space is updated with great amenities, and having a fully stocked kitchen was great. We didn't have time to hang out on the other side of the house in the older living/game area nor outside with the fire pit (fully set up with firewood), but would have enjoyed those amenities had we been able to! The location was convenient for visiting with nearby family over the holidays and the price was very affordable. The hosts are thoughtful and kind; their communication leading up to and during our stay was appreciated. We hope to stay here again the next time we're in town!

So nice, we stayed twice!
We had a great stay (actually 2 non-consecutive nights) at this cozy, comfortable property. The host, Leyna, was communicative, proactive, and even left a sweet treat for us on the 2nd night! We found the property description to be accurate. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. Our group was three adult family members & we used all the bedrooms, mostly using the living room area and kitchen. We didn't spend time in the game room or out back. Didn't see seating in the backyard, but we visited in November, so assumed it might have been put away for the cold season. There was more information provided in the kitchen, like the Wi-Fi password & general check out directions, plus a cute guest book to sign and leave some memories, a nice touch. We also enjoyed the candy dish! Be aware that the driveway is very steep; looks like you can park by the street if it's icy. We ended up backing the car into the driveway which made loading and unloading a bit easier. Some very minor constructive feedback: We did have trouble figuring out the door lock, even after reading the instructions multiple times before arrival, & reading that some other guests had struggled with it in the past. We'd suggest providing a short video or images in a Welcome Guide sent before arrival to make this clearer. One of our group had physical limitations & said it would be nice if the bathtub had a handrail. We would absolutely make this our first choice for staying in the Somerset area again.

Comfortable resting spot with nice views
We booked this property because we were breaking up our trip and stopping in Somerset PA for rest. We didn't want to do hotels since it was the first time traveling with our young toddler. He slept pretty well and we enjoyed the property. The views of the hillsides were gorgeous and I could see us staying here again in the future with maybe a few more people given the nice family/game room and fire pit out back that we under utilized

Personal and great area!
We loved this spot so much last year we stayed again this year on our way to DC. The host is so personal and ready to accommodate. We mentioned a bonfire and she brought us all the s’more items. We also love the coffees and the porch to sip them on in the morning. Good location as well. Cute local pub with great music and really good food about a half mile, along with a grocery store too. Laundry on site which we used and were thankful for. Thanks!

Wonderful Hosts!
Leyna is so wonderful to work with and she adds so many thoughtful extra touches. The kitchen is very well appointed and the snacks available were wonderful! Our bed was very comfortable and we had fun playing games provided. If you're interested in Johnstown, the Flood Museum was well worth the trip!
