This house is in a perfect location, nice neighborhood, close to the beach and other attractions. The pool and hot tub were perfectly heated. There were plenty of beach toys, chairs, etc. to accommodate the beach. We would definitely stay here again!

South Padre 2024
Our stay in the Jupiter Villa was wonderful. The house is beautiful and was everything we hoped it would be. The pool was amazing and when we weren't in the pool, we were only a few houses away from beach access. We were within walking distance of many restaurants and shops in South Padre and everything else was in short driving distance. The house was large and laid out perfectly for our group of adults, teens and children -- we numbered 20. The kitchen was large enough that we could hang out while cooking and never get crowded and then the tables and chairs held us all so we could all eat together and worked great for game nights. We have absolutely no complaints with this home. It was perfect.

Loved the house! We had a total of 21 people of various ages! The pool and the hot tub were great! Beach access was not far from the house and easy to get to. So easy to check into the house and communication from the owners was great! Thinking about booking the house again next summer!

South Padre Birthday trip
This is a very nice house and a very nice property. The host greeted us upon arrival and wanted to know if we had any questions or needed anything. The host was available to answer questions throughout the weekend. We enjoyed the pool and the hot tub. We used the kitchen and cooked and what we needed was available. I recommend a stay here and would go back.

Short Island Stay
We had an incredible family vacation, we enjoyed the spaciousness of the home, the close proximity to the beach, lots of dining options and the pool and hot tub were a relaxing treat. There was so much space, the home was very clean, all the cooking and kitchen essentials you would need and checking in and out was so easy. We got to fish, body surf and take a snorkeling trip, we would definitely come back.

Great family vacation!
Everything was perfect for our family vacation! The location was great and the villa was extremely nice! We had plenty of beds and bathrooms for our group. We loved that it had 2 refrigerators, 2 ovens, 2 microwaves and 2 islands in the well equipped large kitchen! There was also ample seating inside and outside for everyone. The pool was great and it was only a short walk to the beach. We highly recommend this beautiful house!

Great place to stay for large family gatherings
I take my large family on an annual vacation. This was the first time we chose SPI as a location. There was a lot to do, great fishing, we did a Catamaran dinner cruise, spent time on the beach and great restaurants nearby. I really like the clear water as compared to other Texas coastal locations. So the location was great. And the home we rented was perfect, The home was clean, comfortable beds, great pool and sauna and a very short walk to the beach. I highly recommend this home. The owners were great to work with and we will plan to return in a few years.

Excellent Large Family Rental
Our family of 11 just spent a week in this house. We found that it met our needs very well, and would recommend it to others. The home was clean and well equipped. The beds and furniture were very comfortable. The pool is delightful, and the beach is not more than a five minute walk. Plenty of furniture around the pool. There is a wagon and a lot of sand toys for use, along with chairs you can take to the beach. I made a full Thanksgiving dinner, and the kitchen provided everything I needed in terms of equipment except a large roasting pan and pie plates, satisfied by purchasing aluminum pans at the store. The HEB at Port Isabel is an awesome store, but the Blue Marlin on South Padre is very nice also. The beds are comfortable. Bathrooms all function well. The TV in the main sitting area was great for watching the World Cup. The bunk bed room worked great for grandkids. The owner took great care of us, providing two new high chairs for our little ones and sending the housekeeper over when we couldn’t locate the pack and play. A few things to consider when renting this villa: As mentioned in other reviews, you hear all of the footsteps, chair movement and door closing from the second level when trying to sleep on the first, so plan your bedroom occupants accordingly. The tables and chairs in the dining area are counter height. Was not an issue for us, but mentioning for the benefit of guests with physical handicaps. The living room area lacks any kind of table or floor lamps, so when your crew turns out the overhead light to watch TV, you are out of luck if you are a reader and will have to go to your bedroom or bring along a reading light. This was off season for South Padre, which we found to be great since the beach was not crowded. However, note that many restaurants were closed for the season. Louie’s on the bay was a great spot to take a big family group, and they were open for business! Thanks to Lyly for a great villa that got a thumbs up from all 11 of us! We will carry some wonderful memories of the past week on South Padre.

Overall experience was great. Communication with the property owner was great. House is equipped with everything you need. Utensils, towels, outdoor grill and propane, etc. Pool is good size for a bigger group. Walking distance to beach access or there is parking right there as well if you want to drive. Would definitely stay in this house again.

We had a great time, the house is not a close to the beach as we would have liked.
The house will sleep a lot of people but in a limited space~ the bunk room has a lot of beds but they are all in that one room. Great for kids, but the room is not cool~ we used fans. The bath in upstairs bathroom needs repairs~ we had issues turning off water~ couldn’t use it. The shower outside to rinse off sand; doesn’t have a faucet. The kitchen is upstairs ~ just made it extremely hard with little kids, and carrying food, groceries, etc. upstairs. The couches do not have sleepers in them. But overall it was nice.

House is excellent for multiple households
The house was perfect for our growing family. Four households joined together for the week at this beautiful home. The family room upstairs off of the connected open kitchen/dining space was perfect. The (2) one year olds, three year old, and five year old had plenty of space to play. Having a large dining table next to the large kitchen island made preparing and eating meals together a pleasure. Having two refrigerator/freezers, two ovens, two microwaves in the kitchen added to the ease of preparing meals. The huge pantry stored all food supplies out of sight till they were needed. The kitchen has more than enough dishes, pots and pans, glassware, cups, utensils. This is the best kitchen/dining setup I’ve ever seen in a rental property. Having the large family room right off of the large kitchen made it easy to keep an eye on the children when preparing meals. The trek to the beach was simple, and quick. Plenty of space to setup beach chairs near the beach access point. The huge, heated pool, and hot tub in the backyard were great when people wanted to play in the water, but didn’t want to get sandy. The door exiting to the pool has an alarm on it that can be silenced by an adult exiting and entering. It can be completely turned off if there are no children. If you have little ones younger than 2.5 yrs, take something to block the stairwell going downstairs. Fortunately, I had taken a large portable outdoor playpen for the beach. We ended up using it instead to block the staircase. Placing a suitcase inside of it made it too heavy for the one year olds to move it. They rarely crawled that way once they realized there was no place to go that direction. I saw one tiny roach in the hall bath upstairs. I never saw anymore. The setup of this house, and its furnishings are perfect for several couples, or families with grown children, and grandchildren.

This is a beautiful property in a great location on South Padre Island. They had everything needed to make the stay enjoyable for my party. The pool, hot tub and patio made it even better. The owners were delightful and made the experience very smooth and hassle free.

Unfortunate
This is a nice large beach home with convenient beach access. The quality of our stay was over-shadowed by an unfortunate r**ch problem. Saw b*gs everyday. Pest couldn't come until the afternoon before we left, still saw b*gs that evening and the next morning as we were checking out. Would be a great house to stay in once problems are dealt with but until then I cannot recommend staying here.

New year on the beach
We recently visited SPI over New Years. The house was as advertised. Our group of 14 people had ample space to ourselves but also could gather in common areas that could accommodate everyone. We loved that there was plenty of seating in kitchen and living room for everyone to gather. There are 3 fridges which was also nice for our large group. Everything in kitchen was marked so it was easy to find anything we needed to make meals. The grill was not clean when we arrived but we attempted to clean it best we could and left it cleaner than we arrived but I think a new cleaning brush is necessary to meet the expectation of cleaning it properly. We did find a few things broken on arrival and noted them to Mattie. Mattie was awesome and available to meet us at checkin. The only additional comments I would note are we reported a few broken items to Mattie that we saw initially on checkin however we didn’t use the hot tub immediately so we could not report issues found with it within first 24 hours such as the control display did not work and the cover lift was entirely broken. Neither truly affected the use of the hot tub though. Other suggestions for the house would be additional pillows in each bedroom (4 instead of 2 each) and get a rug/runner for outside the pool door because it’s inevitably slippery no matter how well you dry off. The pool cleaner was only there once during our stay rather than twice. This didn’t affect our stay but letting you know in case this is something you want to address. We loved the short walk to the beach. Only takes a few minutes to get there and totally doable even for the toddlers in our group. Additionally due to Covid we had to reschedule this trip 3 times and Lyly was great to work with and very responsive. We really appreciate her willingness to ensure we could still rent this house when it was safe for us to travel. Thank you! We look forward to coming back!

Family Trip
Big home with plenty of room for everyone in our group. Comfy beds. Very short walk to beach. All kitchen cabinets are marked to help you find what you need. Downside was pool heater was not working when we got there but repair came out quickly so we were able to enjoy on our last day there. Roaches on the sofa upstairs and in the kitchen was the biggest issue! Told management company when we left and they said they would contact exterminator.
