We enjoyed our short get a way from Minnesota and enjoyed watching the dolphins. The house was lovely and absolutely loved being on the gulf. Marinela was so helpful in things to do and so responsive.

Great stay, property is older. Some minor inconveniences include lack of dishwasher, heated pool and offset grill. However the location and overall amenities made up for it. Great for fishermen and kid friendly. Host was very hospitable and gave excellent recommendation. You will have a great time here.

Our annual family trip was fantastic here!! Both families loved the outdoor space and location! The home was beautiful and perfect for two families to stay in with kids! The owner had the best advise and insight on everything we needed.

Not family friendly
It is a beautiful property but not family friendly. You are definitely being watch through cameras and snoopy neighbors taking pictures of you for evidence. It was completely our fault for not notifying the owner of the last minute change of the people that were staying. We ended up with one extra adult and a baby and were trying to eat and rest after an 8 hour drive while seeing if they would allow them to stay for an extra charge. They said no and half the group left respecting their wishes and did not return to the home the remainder of our vacation. We gave the neighbor with camera in hand the benefit of the doubt that he was taking pictures of other things. We believe he took pictures of our children in the pool to notify the owners how many people were there. The owner mentioned that the neighbor had notified them on how many people he had counted outside etc.

Wonderful
Perfect vacation spot for families. Fish, swim , and enjoy the view all from one location. We saw dolphins every morning while enjoying coffee from the deck. We will for sure be back again. The owner was also very helpful and fast to respond if you had any questions or needed anything.

Most relaxing social distancing ever
We stayed here for 5 days and it was the perfect spot to relax while Texas reopens in phases. The fishing from the dock and swimming pool were definitely highlights of our stay. The beds were comfortable too, which is important after a full day outside on the beach or fishing. My only minor complaint is that no matter how often we set the a/c temperature to cool it somehow kept switching itself to a very warm temperature that someone might set if they were going away for a long time.

What a great house to have a vacation with my family. There was an abundance to do right there at the house and an abundance to do all around. We loved the character of the house and the decor and felt right at home. The hostess was amazing giving us all sorts of information on whatever we needed. We had an amazing time! If we get down there again, we will absolutely go back!

Exactly what we needed
We had a fantastic stay at the Coral Cottage. The cottage was charming and clean. We found all the amenities we needed available to our use. The home was exactly as described, comfortable and welcoming. We had great communication with management. During our stay we watched the dolphins, both day and night. One night they were feeding quite close to the pier. The ocean came to life at night. We took full advantage of the pier lights at night and saw a variety of fish, crabs and even a few squid. The neighborhood cat, whom we named Mrs. McGonagall, came to visit us on the pier each night. She was just as fascinated by the sea life as we were. She kept to herself and was no bother. One night we even saw a small pack of screech owls flying among the palm trees (Mrs. McGonagall didn’t like that much). We didn’t get to enjoy the pool, but it was clean and provided a great ambiance to our evenings on the deck. The deck was where we spent most of our time. Coffee in the mornings and some adult beverages at night. The neighborhood was peaceful and felt safe. We felt close to shopping and tourism with the privacy of home. I would highly recommend the Coral Cottage if you are seeking any of the above for your vacation to Port Isabel or South Padre.

Dolphins on the Dock
What a beautiful house to stay in while celebrating Thanksgiving! We truly enjoyed ourselves. Our family had fun in the pool that overlooked the bay and sat on the dock often watching for dolphins! They came close! :) The dock had a wonderful view of the causeway and was pretty at nighttime. Inside, the downstairs was a perfect set up with a living room, kitchen, and master bedroom while the upstairs had a whole living space of its own. The kids enjoyed the bunk room upstairs and the flamingo room had a beautiful view of the bay. So much charm everywhere you look! And the owner was super sweet and communicated well. We were able to visit downtown Port Isabel and take a tour of the Lighthouse. Saw dolphins from up there too! It was just a quick drive from the property. Again, so grateful to have had a fun place to stay during our trip. It made it extra special and we enjoyed all the love that is in the property. Truly unique.
