Wedding weekend
We stayed at Port at Captain's Bridge for a weekend in November, while attending a wedding. The property description and photos are exactly as you will find the property. The location couldn’t have been better! Everything is within easy walking distance and you have an added bonus of a great coffee shop right downstairs! We will definitely return!

In the heart of Southport
If you want to experience the town of Southport and be within walking distance to all it has to offer, this is a great place to do it from. We love coming here and being close to the action and this one bedroom apartment above the local coffee shop is just perfect for my wife and I to get away and make us feel like we are Southport locals.

great location
Location is the best assest. The condo was quite spacious and we did enjoy the balcony area. With that said, the place simply needs a fresh eye on it to freshen it up a bit and definitely needs new towels... I found it disconcerting that there were no provisions available to separate trash and recycling in the condo. There were, however, 4 trash and recycling containers in back of coffee shop that we were expected to haul out front and return. Of course we complied with that although I had to wonder why this became our chore to take out the coffee shops trash. There is NO designated parking. My husband inquired at the insurance shop next door if we could park in their lot until street parking became available which they kindly granted. With a little effort, this could be a 5 star because it is a great location.

Walking distance to everything!
This condo is within walking distance to all of Southports treasures-the waterfront, shopping, and dining. Can’t beat this for a centralized location. We enjoyed being located right over a coffee shop as well. The balcony in this unit is bigger than the balcony in the sister 2 bedroom unit. A previous review mentioned mattress problems-the mattress there during our stay was very comfortable. This unit has high ceilings throughout. Very pleased with the comfortable, clean accomodations and hope to stay here again!

Great location but needs some love
This is such a fun place in such a great location, but it would be nice if the owner cared a little more. First and foremost, there's no mattress in this unit - there's a king size 6-inch-thick foam pad on top of box springs. The pad is quite old (it's made by a company called Bragada that's been out of business for years), and when you sit or sleep on it, you can feel the wood rails of the box spring underneath. There were also some cleanliness issues. There were cobwebs in the lamp shades, the blind, and the ceiling fans, and the bathroom sink was clogged. I texted the property management company about all of this, and they fixed the cobweb and clogging issues the following morning, but could only let the owner know about the mattress complaint. The last bit was, as slight as it seems, the toilet paper. The unit had that single ply, tough, scratchy industrial toilet paper that hurts instead of anything comfortable. While that's such a small detail, combined with the no-mattress bed on a bed frame with a broken footboard, it feels like the kind of the place where the owner expects to put zero effort or money into it but get your money out of it. If they fixed up the issues, it'd be a great place and an easy five stars, but for now, I'd look elsewhere.

Perfect Location for a little Getaway
This property was the perfect location for our visit to Southport. Walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in downtown Southport. Port City Java right below the apartment had the best coffees and breakfast choices. Apartment was clean and well stocked with a cute balcony overlooking downtown. Highly recommend and would definitely book again for next trip.

Location is everything
What a great property! We walked to all the shops and restaurants in Southport. Great coffee and breakfast downstairs. We loved the apartment and enjoyed sitting on the balcony overlooking Howe Street. The unit itself was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Nice high ceilings, and just the right amount of space for the two of us. We will stay here again!

Lovely Southport and friendly people.
Nice, well-appointed condo over Port City Java. Take leisurely walks throughout the town and enjoy the gorgeous homes and gardens. In early mornings and late afternoons watch the Ibis fly through in flocks to and from their nesting area and hear the Singing Gulls screaming overhead. So lovely!
