Being that I had not visited St. John before, I kept pondering on where to stay and finally decided on this studio due to location, price and the VIEW!! Oh my, Marina had EVERYTHING that was needed for a stay. We actually had left a few small items ( toothpaste, deodorant and lotion) at home and she had extra trial sized ones there to use, which was so good because who wants to have to go shop for an item just for a few days? It was well kept, clean, and quiet. Although I did hear a low hum sometimes ( as mentioned in another review), it was not louder than the AC unit. It was a quiet noise kind of hum- tv or simply talking would cover it. The studio was spacious and the view was spectacular. The bed was comfy and the patio was awesome at night or even sitting at the pool enjoying the breeze was nice. The beach was nice and did not have the seaweed issue that some other resorts had. Construction was going on down by the bar, but it did not hinder the atmosphere at all. The studio is at the top of the complex, so you look down over the other buildings, trees, and beach. It is walkable down to the beach, but the walk up looks like it would be a little tough after a few drinks! :) We did lose power for an hour or so in the early AM around 4-5 am, but that happens on the island. (We contacted the host and she advised us the entire complex was out). The only down side (if you would consider it that) was parking- but that is not the owners fault- parking was very tight and some cars did not stay between the lines, so it was a domino effect. We just parked at the next building over. The only struggle I had on our last morning there was to either go snorkeling in the morning or lay in bed and watch the view.... ultimately, the VIEW WON! This was a kid free vacation, but next time, we will definitely be bringing our girls and more than likely book here again!
