I like these old hotels with a little bit of history. In my opinion as long as they are clean and well maintained they have a lot more character than modern hotels. I stayed in the "Japanese room"... and It was like I was back in ancient Japan ! While the hotel is quite old it appears the bathrooms were recently renovated as mine was modern and spotless. However, for the price paid the downsides to my room were the air conditioning had only one strong setting so it can only be used for a short while or you would be freezing. Only one power outlet in the whole room, not even an extra one in the bathroom. Based on the other reviews maybe it is only the "Japanese" room that has these problems.

Location was abit far from the train station but near to chikan Tower. Breakfast was okay, limited options though. Room condition is average, slightly old.

Dated hotel with nice staff

The reception staff were friendly and polite. The décor of the room was a little dated and old. The paint on the ceiling was grey instead of white and it could have done with repainting. The breakfast was a small buffet which was impressive given the small size of the hotel yet I didn't find the food very tasty. They have free bikes although the roads in the area are a little busy. They have a hot and cold water taps instead of a kettle. The room has all the amenities you need like toiletries, slippers, shampoo etc.

Decent stay for a very reasonable price

2nd time staying here. Wifi is ok this time round, but aircon still cannot be controlled. Only can On/ Off. Toilet has been renovated and it is nice.

電視遙控器有一層灰塵，且因破損有貼膠帶，是否套個塑膠袋會比較好???清潔需加強。浴缸外有一個塑膠墊，塑膠墊下是濕的，應該保持乾燥會比較好。

服務態度良好，硬體設備偏舊，隔音有待加強

優點： 1.服務人員積極、態度良好 2.浴室乾溼分離，裝潢竟比房間本體來的好? 3.房間有飲水機，雖然比較舊，但也算是特色 4.衣櫃算大，沒有燈輔助照明，內部有點舊，或許是特色 缺點 1.原本安排2樓客房，早上0530餐廳備餐聲音明顯，打電話詢問櫃檯無人接聽，而且從房間竟可聽到櫃台電話聲響，2樓隔音部分真的有問題，下樓直接找服務人員反應，協助換房至10樓算不錯。 2.房間裝潢偏舊，床頭開關無法關閉所有的燈，冷氣無法調整溫度，如果說是復古也不錯，但開關功能要維持好(或者按鈕改成其他設備的功能)，至少也是一種特色，但控制不良又多數沒有功能，是蠻可惜的。 3.10樓冰箱老舊，內部改裝作為飲水機的冷卻器，運轉聲音明顯，無法選擇關閉，會干擾睡眠。 4.棉被與床墊有點奇怪的味道，有些不習慣... 5.2樓房間的浴室，因為房型/浴室較小，但卻擺一個浴缸，整個顯得十分擁擠(洗完地板潮濕積水、浴缸無法止水)，10樓房型/浴室較大，反而是乾濕分離，感覺配置顛倒... 6.早餐只有中式，菜色吃了四天似乎沒有甚麼變化。 結論： 1.服務態度良好，會主動打招呼 2.感覺飯店比較老，但可以看得出還是有逐漸整修改善 3.或許業者要思考，是全面升級更新，還是保留部分傳統風味，但保留傳統的同時，相關隔音、設備功能需跟得上這個時代同業的標準，藉由新科技與舊設備整合，提升服務品質，創造出特色風格。

樓層整修中，電梯就像施工現場，住的邊間浴廁的開門方向很卡，浴缸是移動式有安全疑慮，此外，整體而言是合乎價格的住宿選擇。
