This is a 3 star hotel, economical with excellent location. If you are looking for convenience with easy access to a MRT station, with plenty of food selections, this is a good choice.
They are not an upscale or luxurious but good enough.
It’s located in one of major tourists/shopping/food district called YongKong Street with many famous restaurants within walking distance.
Positives: has an elevator. Overall courteous staff with one exception with a person called Jacky who was rude and defensive with no customer service skills last time. But this time overall good across all staff. Complimentary bottled water, juices, candies available upon request. Clean bedding set. Courteous housekeeping staff who did a good job cleaning the room each time.
Negatives: Poor sound proof-can hear showering and conversation next door. Dirty laying on the ground and on the hallway.
Obvious wear and tear on towels. Cockroach found in the room once, but they treated it with a hotel wide pest control in the next few days.
Other comments:
1. the carpet shows obvious normal tear and tear, and the facility but not too bad. Looks pleasant.
2. you may order lunch box through them mondays-fridays around $5 USD.
3. If you will be mostly using MRT to get around Taipei, out sightseeing most of time, and just need a comfortable place to stay and sleep, this is a good option.
4. The gate/door is locked after 9 or 10pm, you can access with your room keys - for security purpose.
