Property is conveniently located in the heart of where you want to be. Beautiful beach front location. Staff and everyone is super friendly.
What I didn’t like is you can tell not a lot of money goes back into the hotel. it’s old, dated, and needs a refresh. My biggest disappointment is this town (Tamerindo) in general over prices absolutely everything.
Expedia does not let me post what I paid for food, drinks, restaurants, etc. Trust me when I say you come wanting to buy a Toyota, but they charge you for a Ferrari. By the time you factor in the cost of the flight, hotel, etc, stay in the USA…… yes, it’s cheaper at home. There is no value to travel that far to get ripped off by people just because you have American USD. I’m sure at one time Tamerindo was charming. And part of it is. But I left feeling like everyone wanted to just charge Americans as much as they could. So, be warned.
Also - do not expect to enjoy your vacation in peace. people everywhere bugging you to buy over priced junk. this happens in a lot of places I’ve traveled, but here it’s an added annoyance knowing you feel surrounded by people who rip you off with a smile.
