We paid extra for a poolside room. When we arrived they had given our room away and tried telling us that they had given us an upgrade! We paid extra for the poolside room! According to the website, the poolside rooms cost more which is why ours was gone and had been given away!! Total Bait and Switch here!

We got the wrong room at first but it was fixed immediately with no issues! Thank you. We stayed at tge Godfrey hotel early this year and this by far was a much better experience. We will be back in a couple of weeks.

You could tell that prior to the hurricane that this place would be great. I am not holding this against them. At night, we could smell weed in our room for several hours. We were at the end of the floor so it must have been people outside or in parking area. Pros- the views were incredible. Plus, this place was very convenient to both Clearwater and downtown Tampa.

The customer service was terrible no one can do anything to help guests except the manager Damien who was very rude. We checked in and had to leave to an event so we did not see the state of things till we returned later after the manager had left and he did not return to work the remainder of our stay. The room was very dirty and in need of repairs. Everything from the dirty napkins under the bathroom sink to the chipped bathtub to the stains on all the furniture and curtains, the dirty floors, the broken lamp, the missing curtains the stained peeling walls, the broken unsafe balcony, the out of order elevator and amenities damaged after the hurricanes, lawn maintenance all morning, to the fire alarm system people knocking to wake us up to test the alarm in the room to end our stay. It was a nightmare! I would never stay here again or recommend this hotel with all the other great options in Tampa.

I️ had to find a last minute place to stay. I️ called with some questions, they were answered quickly and accurately, booked my night. Check in was super easy and fast. I️ was in my room in less than 5 minutes. The room was clean and beautiful! I️ was surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine! Had a bite to eat at the tiki bar, food was great. Bed comfortable! I️ was exhausted from my trip and they were able to provide me with a complimentary late check out! I️ highly recommend! My next trip to Tampa I’ll be staying with them again.

I recently stayed here during a business trip, choosing the hotel for its convenient proximity to my office. I understand that the property is still undergoing renovations following Hurricane Milto, which is understandable. However, my arrival experience was less than ideal. There was no security guard present, and my Uber driver had to circle around repeatedly before we realized the main entrance was located on the second floor. Clear signage would have been helpful. While searching for an elevator sign, I fortunately encountered an employee (whose name I regret not noting) who kindly escorted me to the functioning elevator. Her assistance was much appreciated. At check-in, the service was disappointing. The staff member who helped me didn’t inquire whether it was my first time staying there or provide any basic information, such as dining options. The lack of courtesy left a negative impression.

The property location was very convenient. The rooms had full on kitchens as if they were once an apartment. The room that my friend stayed in that was closest to the coast had not really been cleaned and had a lot of water damage. She said she had lumpy pillows. My room wasn't bad, it smelled like smoke at first but aired it out pretty quick. I loved the restaurant/bar that was connected to the pool. Bartenders were amazing!!
