Lands End Lodge on the Rappahannock River comfortably sleeps eight on two levels which makes it the perfect choice for a family vacation or reunion or gathering of friends. The first-floor bedroom and adjoining full bathroom is ideal for someone who may be challenged by stairs. The second floor has three bedrooms, including the Master and two full bathrooms. TVs are available in the living room, as well as two of the bedrooms. There is also a DVD player. There is internet but because of location it is slow(streaming not recommended). . New King Bed in Master. Other amenities include a gas grill, picnic table, beach chairs, full size hammock and chairs & sofa on brand new covered porch. At the Lodge, there is room for everyone to do what they like. Perhaps the cozy reading corner is where you will find yourself curled up in the comfy chair with the latest novel while you have unobstructed views of the Rappahannock River. Gather with family and friends at the large farmhouse table (seating for 8) and 3 bar stools for a meal prepared in the fully equipped kitchen. It is only a short drive into town to partake of any of the local restaurants – Burgers, Italian, Mexican or Seafood – or to do your grocery shopping. Check out the lovely gift stores and antique shops. Play eighteen holes at the Hobbs Hole golf course; drive an hour north up to historic Fredericksburg or George Washington’s birthplace; an hour south you will find yourself in Williamsburg. Richmond is an hour to the west. This area is also home to several wineries nearby.
