Boasting four inviting bedrooms, including a bunk haven with a slide for the little adventurers, Dakine Haus is your perfect retreat after skiing or boarding. You'll also find two king rooms, a queen room, and two bathrooms, both with built-in kids' toilet seats to make life easier.

Large windows flood the common area with natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The living room, adorned with a plush sofa, television, and a stone fireplace, invites you to unwind and relax. You'll enjoy both a front and back deck, where crisp mountain air and a BBQ grill await.

The dining table, with seating for 10, sets the stage for delightful gatherings, while the fully equipped kitchen, complete with modern appliances and a coffee bar, caters to culinary enthusiasts. (Star Wars fans will love the themed waffle maker here!) Additional barstool seating at the counter ensures everyone has a spot for group meals or game nights.

Whether you're a remote worker or a student, a small desk is perfect for staying productive. When it's time for leisure, head to the lounge area with a 110" drop-down screen with surround sound and Apple television as well as cable television (including sports channels!). There are three more televisions in addition to the state-of-the-art movie area, and the entertainment doesn't stop there. You'll also discover a full-size foosball table, other stocked cabin games, and a retro Atari system with a library of classic games like Ms. Pacman, Pitfall, Dig Dug, and more. Kids will love the teepee area near the large windows, complete with books and toys.

Finally, you'll find convenient in-home laundry with the stackable washer and dryer located in the closet near the kitchen.

Just 8 miles from Downtown Truckee and Lake Tahoe, Dakine Haus puts you in a convenient location to experience everything the area offers. Located inside Northstar, this is one of the most family-friendly ski resorts around, with ski/board school, daily S'mores o'clock, ice skating in the village, and lots of restaurants. Don't miss the iconic Northstar Champagne Toast at 2 pm every day! Northstar shuttles pick you up for free at the house on demand and drop you off at the village - no more carrying all the kids' skis from the parking lot! Access to the Northstar Recreation Center (pools, hot tubs, sauna, arcade, pickleball, and tennis courts) is available for $10/per person/per day.

Home Truths:
- Two additional trifold floor mattresses and additional linens can be provided upon request.
- This home does not have AC.
- To access the main floor of the home, there are two sets of stairs, one leading into the home and one leading from the mud room to the second level.
- This home accepts a maximum of 2 pets. But pets must be approved in advance and are subject to an additional fee of $150 per pet. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Unauthorized parking at the Rec Center is strictly prohibited. Guests are only allowed to park while using the facilities. Any vehicle found parked all day will be subject to a fine of over $500.
- Please note that during the winter months, all outdoor furniture, including the grills, will be unavailable.

Parking Details:
- 4 cars can fit in the driveway.
- No street parking allowed.
- Violations result in fines of $1,000 and up, and revocation of the permit after three or more violations.

Accidental Damage Protection: A non-refundable accidental damage protection plan has been included in the price of your reservation. Under this plan, you will not be held responsible to pay for accidental damage or loss to the rental property resulting from you or others in your party up to $2000. This plan does not cover intentional acts of a guest, gross negligence, or willful and wanton conduct, and/or damages caused by pets. This plan is not available for reservations 28 days or longer or reservations that require a security deposit.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.

As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.

Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.

There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

As a reminder, we do work with 3rd party vendors to maintain the property, and although we adhere to the strictest CDC guidelines and advise all contractors to wear PPE equipment, we can not always enforce. We strongly advise guests to please deny access if any vendors fail to meet and adhere to these standards.

IDs will be requested for verification after booking. All bookings over 30 days require a security deposit.
