Come enjoy this updated mountain home located within walking distance of the Trout Creek Recreation Center and Tahoe Donner Golf Course. This 3 bedroom/2.5 bathroom mountain getaway is the charming getaway you need!

Tahoe Donner is the perfect place for year-round vacation fun. Take advantage of the shared, rec center amenities that include tennis and basketball courts, a large swimming pool, hot tubs to soothe your tired muscles, and even a sauna! Enjoy skiing and snowboarding at world-class local mountains like Northstar, Palisades Tahoe, and Sugar Bowl, all within 14 miles of this home. During the summer, head out on the water at nearby Donner Lake, or make a day of it and drive 20 miles south to legendary Lake Tahoe. And downtown Truckee is only five miles away from where there are shops, galleries, and restaurants for every taste.

You'll enter from the 2nd floor where the main living area consists of the living room, kitchen, dining area, and balcony. The living room offers plenty of seating options around a flatscreen TV. Gather around with some hot chocolate and get some friendly competition going! Behind the couch, there is a workspace for those working from home.

In the well-equipped, full kitchen, you will find updated appliances including a gas range, drip coffee pot, toaster, and a variety of cooking utensils. The dining table has seating for 4 and there is additional seating for 4 by the kitchen island. There is a high chair provided if you are traveling as a family! In warmer months, fire up the gas BBQ grill and enjoy some fresh mountain air out on the deck while cooking up a feast for your group.

When it's time to call it a night, pick one of the 3 comfortable bedrooms. The master bedroom is located upstairs and has a King bed and a crib, perfect when you are traveling with infants. The en suite master bathroom has a tub, standing shower, and dual sinks. There is a half bathroom on the 2nd floor by the bedroom.

The remaining 2 bedrooms are located downstairs and each has a Queen bed. There is a shared full bathroom with a shower/tub combo. There is a washer and dryer available in the laundry room for those longer stays!

There are 2 garage parking spots. A 4x4 is recommended during the winter season, while chains are required in all vehicles.

This property includes 2 guest passes that allow guests to access the Tahoe Donner Association, which offers communal swimming pools, hot tubs, and a sauna; private beach (summers only), and other exclusive amenities. Amenities vary by season and rates are set by Tahoe Donner Association (not included in your reservation). Each pass can accommodate up to 4 people for entry (8 guests total). House very large and functional. The only challenge I had was that the internet went off a couple times and I had to re-boot the router. Would suggest having that checked.

Nice home but tired. Carpets were filthy and when we notified the management company (with pictures) they were non responsive. Great community amenities. Would stay in area again but not this house

As others have stated the bedding is old, torn, and stained. Comforters did not smell clean at all. Couldn't wash the comforters since there wasn't any detergent provided. White towels were stained. Bring your own pillows, there's are completely flat and don't smell great. The drain in the master bathroom was broken, so dangerous for our young children. There wasn't a toaster available so we had to wait for the management company to bring one. My son cut his foot on a nail from the carpeted stairs. Carpet was pretty stained and felt dirty so we kept our shoes on. None of the windows have curtains, only blinds, so very bright in the morning. The home was very spacious and beds were fairly comfortable. Just need to work on providing clean smelling bedding that is newer.

The best thing about this property is location. It’s just a short walk to the market and the rec center. As far as the home goes - it’s very bare bones. The pillows are pancakes. Definitely recommend bringing your own. Some of the linens are ripped. The carpet could use a good cleaning. One of the chairs on the deck is broken. We arrived an hour early with a cranky baby and an excited 4 year old and tried to open the door. We called the number and the management company told us no early check ins. Ok but no one else was in the home, no cleaning crew was there. Why? It was an hour early. I miss the days when there were no management companies to deal with. Everything had become so cold. Oh. And we rented the house with the understanding that there was a grill for use. Yay summer cookouts. We bought tons of things to grill and went to turn it on and nothing. So we contacted the management co. They informed us that we couldn’t use the grill. We were beyond disappointed. They did reimburse us $150 but hamburgers cooked on the stove just aren’t the same. Overall an average house. I don’t think I’d stay here again.

Truckee stay
We had a lovely stay in this home and exploring the little town of Truckee. My husband and I traveled with our two young adult children and we had plenty of room and enjoy our time together. Kitchen was well appointed and a Safeway close by for groceries. If you need and iron or hair dryer bring it with you. Everyone was very friendly and gave great suggestions on places to explore. The owners and management were very clear about the WiFi. It will be intermittent during busy times; plan accordingly.

Worked out Good
House worked for us. We know Tahoe Donner and liked the location. We had 6 people. I liked the open kitchen / living space. The house lacked a few basic things like toaster broken, recycle container full, no hair dryer and bedding/linens are old. Front steps super icy.

Overall, a Nice Clean Cabin. However there were several small things that need attention: 1 of the 2 garage doors did not work, Half of the shower head in the downstairs bathroom was clogged, the dishwasher was not properly mounted, and the drawers would slide out, the toaster did not work, and the kitchen needs a new set of pots & pans.

Perfect Location for a Family Vacation
We were very pleased with the cabin, especially the location. I grew up vacationing in Truckee and I have family who live and work in Truckee, so I am familiar with the area. When we visited this summer for my aunt's 70th birthday party, I knew that I wanted a place that would make it easy to get to all the things we wanted to do, but also be a nice, clean, quiet place for my kiddos to have some downtime. My husband loved being able to walk around the corner to the small market to pick up coffee and breakfast items, and it was super easy to walk across to the Trout Creek rec center for the kids to swim (the free passes are included with the rental, which was awesome!). We had everything we needed to make a few easy meals at home and also prepare potluck dishes and food for our family day at the lake. Overall, this was a fantastic family cabin, and I will definitely book again in the future for a summer lake vacation or winter snow trip!

Vacation with family
Positive: Overall stay it was ok. Convenient location to ski resort. We like the house but minor issues. Negative: Shower downstairs was not working. They had it repaired the next day. Bedding was not prepared, no pillowcases in the master bedroom, we have to put pillowcases ourselves. Master bedroom comforter smells. Some pillows stinks. Kitchen not well equipped. Missing cooking utensils.

Missing some key items
This house was clean and tidy, but it had literally the worst equipped kitchen I've ever stayed in. Have rented literally dozens of homes over the years and have never encountered a kitchen without the following items: tea kettle, strainer, wine key, wine glasses, pasta pot, spatula, cookie sheet, aluminum foil, salt, and other super simple basics. It made cooking in the kitchen totally impossible. There was no shower soap or shampoo, either, which made us unable to bathe since we hadn't planned on bringing our own. The house is lovely and in a great location, but our stay would've been much more comfortable with some basic items stocked.

Beautiful home located in walking distance to the recreation center. Only negatives: the fridge smelled like fish and the frying pans were all burned and old (uncleanable). In general, the home could use a nice new frying pan and a larger, pasta pot. Otherwise it’s a lovely home.

Family Get-Away
We had a wonderful weekend!! There are just a couple of things that I'd suggest to improve. I emailed about supplying our own wood for fireplace and never got an answer until I called to extend our checkout and was told "yes" bring wood. We arrive and it's a gas fireplace..that was not indicated on listing. Also there were no instructions for what to do with used towels and sheets. But like I said, it was a great weekend and a beautiful home.

Comfortable, relaxing stay
Very nice spacious home in a quiet wooded neighborhood. The living area is well set up for conversations and watching TV. We enjoyed a lot of time on the large deck, which is equipped with a good grill and a comfortable dining set for four. The bedrooms are spacious and the beds were comfortable. Everything was very clean and all appliances that we used worked well. It was a great place to spend family time and enjoy some of the outdoor activities the area has to offer. We’d definitely consider coming back. Note to owner: For rental purposes, we suggest supplying a coffee maker, a corkscrew, and a couple of sharp knives for food preparation. Thank you for having a high chair; it came in very handy!
