Beautiful rural home with amazing views of Umbria
We had a wonderful stay at Giulio and Vittoria’s beautiful rural home. We were six adults. The house is high up with views to the mountains and lake. It is set in a gorgeous garden with a fabulous terrace on which to read, relax, dine and watch the sunsets, stars and a dramatic storm. You need a car to get to the nearest villages, but the roads are very scenic and quiet. There is a nice public swimming pool a 3.4k drive away, which is a lovely place to spend an afternoon as there is a small restaurant opposite. The location is a great base for exploring Umbria - Assisi, Perugia, Trasimeno lake, Castiglione, Castel Rigone and so many other places within reach which we didn’t manage to get to. Giulio and Vittoria were marvellous, warm and welcoming hosts and made sure we had everything we could possibly need. Thank you so much for a fabulous, unforgettable holiday.

Relaxing holidays
We spent two wonderful weeks in this holiday home in July 2024. It is located quite far up in the mountains, but there are a few direct neighbors. The next town with a small supermarket and bar (Castel Rigone, very charming) is a 12-minute drive away. There is also a nice outdoor swimming pool nearby. The house is beautifully located and nicely furnished. The shelves contain personal items such as books and decorations. The beds are comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need. There is no air conditioning, but that's not a problem: up in the mountains it cools down pleasantly at night. Actually we were hardly in the house during the day, but spent the hot hours on the wonderful terrace. We have put an inflatable pool in the garden for the children and there are also swings and a great trampoline. The garden is large and full of flowers that are visited by bees, bumblebees and butterflies. The owners gave us the warmest welcome we have ever experienced on holiday. They were always available. In the afternoon we went on lovely trips to Gubbio, Assisi, Perugia and Orvieto and of course to Castiglione, Passignano and the islands on the lake. You have to add to each route the 25 minutes it takes to get down the serpentine road from the mountain, but you will be rewarded with magnificent views.
