Cottage Near Ark/Creation Museum

Summary:
LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Welcome to my newly remodeled cottage, conveniently located 20 minutes from the Creation Museum and 35 minutes from the Ark Encounter. Set on two acres, but only a 4 minute drive from a wide variety of restaurants, pharmacies, parks/playgrounds and a large grocery store. Relax and enjoy time away in a modern cottage that lives large with an open kitchen/living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,200 square feet.

The Space:
All living spaces are on one level with one step (sidewalk to front porch) access. Maximum occupancy is 6, not including infants. Pets and parties are not permitted.

BEDROOMS
Bedroom 1 has twin sized bunk beds and a queen sized bed with a full bathroom with a walk in shower in the hall.

Bedroom 2 has a king sized bed with a private full bathroom and a tub shower.

All beds are fitted with luxurious linens, multiple pillows (firm and soft) and extra blankets.

BATHROOMS
Bathrooms have towels, washcloths, hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner and body wash.

KITCHEN
Fully equipped kitchen with pots/pans, utensils, dishes and flatware, as well as a full sized refrigerator, toaster, microwave, oven, dishwasher and the all important coffee maker and a french press. Coffee, sugar and creamer pods are also provided, but if you don’t want to make your own there are two Starbucks and a Dunkin Donuts a mere 3 minutes away:)

LIVING ROOM
Relax in the living room and enjoy the Roku TV with Netflix (guest’s log-in). Fireplace is non-functioning. Equipped with high speed Wifi and a desk for a peaceful dedicated workspace.

Games and books available or embrace your artistic side and leave us a creative note or picture on the chalkboard and share/tag us on your social media!

Cleaning Protocol: We pride ourselves on an exceptionally clean environment and follow CDC guidelines for cleaning and sanitizing after each guest departure.

Guest Access:
You will have access to the entire house and grounds.

Please do not attempt to enter the garage. Also please note that the pond at the far end of the property belongs to the neighbor, so please do not use.

The driveway needs to be accessible at all times, so please park off the main driveway in the spaces closest to the house.

Other Things to Note:
No loud noise after 10pm as we have close neighbors.

In an effort to maintain a secure premises, the cottage is equipped with two exterior cameras. The cameras are ONLY on the exterior and there are no cameras on the inside.

Check-in is anytime AFTER 4pm (24 hour check-in is available via smart lock, but please let me know if you plan to arrive after 10pm.)

Check-out is by 10am.

Allergies
The place was clean, location to surrounding activities was perfect, and the decorating was up to date. Light fixture in the bathroom did not work. It was spacious. The Kuerig and kitchen was our favorite. Unfortunately, the house smelled like old smoke. We all have allergies and a chronically Ill daughter. We had to open all the windows and keep her out of the living room. Our eyes were itchy and nasal drainage. Our daughter had a asthma attack. Most of her time she had to spend in the bedroom where we placed a fan in the window or the kitchen. There is an old fireplace in the main L/R. With a bag of Baking soda in it. Curtains and couch smelled of smoke. Unfortunately, this really should be mentioned in the description for the elderly and allergy populations. There was a small air filter near the fireplace but it did nothing.

Our House
The house was great we loved it nice and clean, Updates were nice was disappoint in in the appearance of the outside. I would recommend that the yard and trimming be done before the next guest and trim the bush on the side back. We were four senior people (68-84) and the living room furniture was not very comfortable for us need arms on chairs to get up easier. The two guys would have preferred recliners so they could put their feet up (poor circulation) LOL. But this is just us older persons. We thought it was a great place and will recommend it to everyone. Thank you so much..

Sister trip to the Ark and Creation museum and this location is smack fab in the middle of both so perfect location. Beautiful newer renovated house sleeps 6 easy access to stores and restaurants. We will definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!!

Stephanie is a marvelous proactive host with a cozy home to share. We loved everything about the house - beds and linens were top notch. Kitchen was well supplied with all of our needs. Stephanie was always a step ahead of us and I appreciated that. If you are heading to northern Kentucky, choose this location.

We had a wonderful stay. The host was very communicative about what to expect. The house was super clean and well appointed. We were traveling to both the Creation Museum and the Ark Encounter, and the house was in between both of them which was very convenient! We would definitely stay here again!!!

Much better than a Hotel! Our home away from home.
A DEFINITE 5 star review!! What a great place! Much better than a hotel any day. We found the Cottage exactly what we needed for our trips to the Creation and Ark Museum about 20-40 minutes away. It was Ultra clean and provided everything we needed. We appreciated the AC and fans in the bedrooms a welcome relief from the heat/humidity. The neighborhood was quiet-no train sounds, airport sounds, sirens, just a nice quiet atmosphere. We felt safe and comfortable in and outside the Cottage. Can't say enough, but recommend the cottage for anyone wanting a great place to stay, with or without children. We stayed three nights and it was our relaxing home away from home. Wonderful hostess, Stephanie, makes it all happen smoothly at the Cottage. We would definitely stay here again!

Felt right at home.
Stephanie made this experience top notch. The home and accommodations where great and all we needed for a family of 6. Well furnished and very clean and cozy was how we felt during our stay. Also, her knowledge of the area and where to send us for groceries, dining out, and local hot spots made us feel like we already knew the area. The home location made for an easy (30 minute or less) trip south the Ark Encounter or north up to the Creation Museum and Cincinnati. All in all a great stay and a great host. Would love to return some day.

Wonderful!
My husband, sister-in-law, & I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Cottage Near Ark/Creation Museum! Everything we could possibly need was provided! There was a very pleasant, clean odor that greeted us upon every entry - not strong at all, just nice & comforting. We loved the near location to restaurants & retail areas, to “the big city” of Cincinnati, the airport, and The Ark Encounter, the focus of our visit. Yet the house was situated in a beautiful rural setting. We could drive to everywhere we wanted/needed to go in 30 minutes or less! If ever back in the area, we would definitely stay here again.

Great stay
Overall perfect stay for a short visit to the ark encounter and the creation museum Perfect location between the two and if we had time we would have visited Ohio since it was so close Only thing is bathrooms are super small Bath tub may need a grip bar Mattress in the guest room was great (even the floor one) but the mattress in the master does have a dip in it on both sides Also you may want to get an ottoman for the feet especially after a long day of walking We appreciated the ice in the freezer and the filtered water in the fridge

Neat, clean well stocked home
We came to see the play at the ark, home was well stocked, neat, and clean. The keurig didnt serve hot coffee, and the other coffee thing put coffee grinds in the coffee, they didnt have a regular coffee pot. We bought one for us to use. The beds were not comfortable. But overall the house had everything else you could want and more.

Stellar experience with this rental. Cottage is in a quiet and easily accessible location, yet close to restaurants and shopping. The Interstate is only a few miles away. The house was immaculate and well-stocked. The beds had memory foam mattresses and comfy linens. Plenty of towels for all guests. I highly recommend this property.

Weekend Stay
We were really happy with our weekend stay at this centrally located home. This home was the right number of bedrooms and the right price to compete with getting a couple of hotel rooms. I prefer this, because it's much more comfortable in our downtime. The location is very convenient; especially, for anything in the Florence area. It seems to be a pretty quiet area, at least it was for our stay. There are some twisty roads that you need to navigate to get back to the neighborhood, but not too big of a deal. I really appreciated that there were plenty of supplies, particularly towels. Although we didn't need any more than normal, that cannot always be said. I've also had instances where we rented a place, cooked a big family dinner, and ended up with insufficient dish detergent. All that to say, it's really nice that we didn't have to think about anything other than enjoying our time. The decor was nice and uncluttered. There are two bedrooms. A master with a queen has a very firm mattress, and the other has a queen with a twin bunk. I was told the queen was soft and the bunk was firm. It could be a factor for you if you have a limiting condition. My only request would be to have a slightly later check-out time. 10am isn't unusual, but 11am provides a lot more flexibility. Late checkout wasn't an option due to us being the 1st on the cleaning schedule. Finally, the owner was great at communicating throughout the stay, and there were no unusual rules or requests.

Ark Encounter Getaway
Upon arriving we found the property clean. The home is beautifully decorated. Check in process was easy. It was a great location for visiting the Ark Encounter and the Cincinnati Reds game. There are plenty of restaurants close by for some great food. We are happy with our stay.
