Experience the distinctive charm and contemporary comfort of The Union Pier Summer House, a unique retreat in the heart of Harbor Country. Originally built in the late 1940s and thoughtfully renovated in 1987, this property channels the essence of the 19th-century boarding houses once popular along the lakeshore. With its Italianate Victorian-inspired architecture, the house features graceful balconies, gingerbread gables, and spacious decks, showcasing the craftsmanship of a bygone era.

A 2020 redesign by Hibler Design Studio brought a fresh, modern update to the entire property, which includes five luxury suites. Each thoughtfully designed suite has a private entrance, is fully furnished, and is equipped with luxury linens, modern kitchens, tankless water heaters, individually controlled heating and cooling, and upgraded bathrooms that ensure a sumptuous experience for every stay.

All guests are required to review and sign Juniper Holiday + Home's Guest Occupancy Agreement prior to check-in. While we understand that events can affect your trip, it is our policy to stick to the agreed-upon cancellation policy in the listing. We recommend purchasing a vacation travel insurance policy if you suspect that you will need to cancel your vacation.

The minimum age to rent this suite is 25.

A total of 1 vehicle may park in our dedicated lot at the corner of Berrien and Howard Streets with this reservation. Please note that your vehicle must be registered after booking. Unregistered vehicles will be subject to towing and fines.

Pets are not allowed at this property. Thank you for your understanding.

A non-refundable Accidental Damage Waiver is included with your reservation. This waiver covers accidental damage or loss to the rental property caused by you or members of your party, up to a maximum of $2,000. This plan does not cover intentional acts, gross negligence, or willful misconduct.

Out of respect for our staff and their families, we do not permit check-ins or check-outs on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. Thank you for your understanding.
