The Apartment nestles in one of the most sought-after beachfront areas of the West Algarve. This South-facing Apartment of 90 m² comprises a vast open-plan living and dining area, a sleek and functional, fully fitted minimalist style kitchen, and two bedrooms (the Primary bedroom is en-suite with a private balcony). ## Neighborhood

Our holiday home is in Salema, a small village close to Lagos. It is very popular amongst golf lovers, families and nature lovers.

A selection of restaurants & bars is there for you to explore both local and international food. We recommend trying fresh fish and seafood dishes! There is a supermarket 4 minutes away by car. Like Burgau and Praia da Luz, other beaches are just a short drive away. So whether you want to relax, go for a surf or enjoy a fantastic hike in nature, Budens is the place. And if you do crave the city life at some point, the city of Lagos is only 20 minutes away.

## Transit

You can reach Salema in about one hour by car from Faro Airport, and car rental is available in the airport's parking lot. By train, it will take about 4 to 5 hours.

The best way to travel the Algarvarian coast is by boat or car. However, if you want to explore the area, a (rental) car will make your life much easier as public transport is limited and will also get you around.

Parking is free and abundant everywhere in this area.

Beautiful location
4 of us stayed for a week in October 2024. The place fit our needs perfectly. It was clean. The bedrooms & bathrooms were modern and nice. The view from the unit was amazing. It's very close to the beach and some very good restaurants. We enjoyed staying in Salema which is much quieter than bigger towns nearby. The location allowed us to do day trips all along the Algarve coast. Hikes along the coast had beautiful scenery and we saw some fantastic sunsets. It was very nice to have parking right behind the building.

Eye-Popping View with Chill Vibe
Comfortable 2 bedroom, 2.5 apt.. Walk up 2 floors to see the gorgeous beach and ocean through sliding doors to a balcony with table and chairs. Salem’s is a charming town somewhat off the beaten track that we found so appealing. Great restaurants are easily walkable.

Great location!
Perfect location and great apartment! Only suggestion is to have more paper towels and/or dish towels and maybe some dishwasher detergent! Other than that, we loved our stay! Wine was a nice gift, thank you again!

A comfortable apartment in a special little beach town. Was a welcomed change from frenetic Lisboa. Highly recommend Casa Pizza around the corner to the right. Recommend Nazari’s vegetarian Mousaka.

Location, location, location
Awesome place to stay. What a great apartment. It was so clean and comfortable and had everything to make one’s stay so pleasurable. The location was fantastic and the views were terrific. It is set down a quaint little street just behind the beach and close to little shops and places to eat. The communication with the host was good. There were four of us (all adults) and the place was so nice and roomy. A great great choice to stay!!! I had considered marking the stay down a bit, as upon arrival, we got stuck in the elevator for 1.5hrs. We aren’t elevator people but we had luggage so thought we’d take advantage of it. But the place was too nice to mark down and we loved our stay after that incident. And I’m sure it was just “one of those unusual, once in a lifetime things”.

Weil es uns letztes Jahr so gut gefallen hat, waren wir zum zweiten Mal in Salema. und wir haben es nicht bereut. Gute Kommunikation mit Rental Valley, herrliche Aussicht, saubere Wohnung, gute Betten und einige Restaurants unterschiedlicher Preisklasse in nächster Nähe. Das wollten wir, das haben wir bekommen :-)

Overall this is a very nice place with a fantastic view of the ocean and the beach. A complimentary bottle of wine and a 1.5 liter bottle of water were provided. However, we rented five VRBO properties on our trip and this was the only one that did not provide bath soap or paper towels. The parking right behind the building was wonderful. We found out at our other rentals that parking was some distance from the property and not very convenient. The unit faces east/west. In the morning there is an intense sun that comes in through the sliding glass doors. We were there in March so the warmth from the sun was appreciated. I would imagine it would not be so welcome in the summer time. The only way to block it is to lower the shade but the shade is solid and you totally lose the view. You could literally sun bathe in the living area in the morning. Communication with the management company was not great. They send a lot of information but some of it was not correct and trying to get in touch with somebody and/or get a response was difficult.

Beautiful view!
The apartment was clean and very well stocked. We enjoyed the bottle of wine the host left for us. We had plenty of towels. It’s perfect for 2 couples with en-suite baths in each bedroom. There was a little noise from the Curious Bar nearby that woke us up one night. Also the elevator didn’t work the entire time of our visit so luggage was a chore. Other than that we loved our stay!

One of the best units we have ever rented! Perfect location in the delightful town of Salema. Close to beach and all the best restaurants. Take some time to have a drink or two at Atabua right outside the door. Only regret is that we planned a 3 night stay as opposed to a week or two.

Perfect Location, Comfortable Accomodations
THE GOOD: The location for this property couldn't be better - you're so close to the beach you feel you're basically on it. There are ample restaurants and bars within 100m of the unit. It's clean, comfortable, and everything you could wish for in a beach rental. Communication with our host was also excellent. We would definitely return, and are actually planning our next stay there. THE GOOD TO KNOWS: Bring your own bath products and beach towels, since they're not provided. Also, there were no trash bin liners, so bring some of those just in case (our host said he would reimburse us for the cost, but we didn't want to go back to the grocery store). You're asked to remove your own trash at the end of your stay (we found this very odd). You'll need to find laundry facilities if you plan on staying longer, as there is not a washer in unit. Parking is included, but it's a little ways away and up a hill from the unit. If you have a car and decide to drive by the unit to drop off/pick up your bags at arrival/departure, note that the street is one-way, very narrow, and it goes on for quite some time before you come to a turn around point. Fret not! Keep going and you'll eventually get back to Salema. ENJOY YOUR STAY!

Great Place!
This apartment in Salema was absolutely the best! It’s in the village part, steps from the beach and all the restaurants are within 300 ft. Balcony on the front has a great view of the beach and water, and back balcony offers great views of the west side of the village. Very well appointed and nicely decorated.

Die Wohnung ist hell, einladend und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Highlight: Betten, in denen man erholt und schmerzfrei aufwacht! Das Meer ist so nah, dass man die Wohnung beinahe nicht verlassen muss. Wenn man es trotzdem tut, lohnt es sich sehr. Viel Sonne und angenehme Temperaturen Mitte März, leere Strände, blühende Bäume, Büsche, Blumen... Empfehlung: Selbst gemachte Muffins und Kuchen in der Pastelaria Solmar, Nazari Restaurant im Eco Camping Salema, Love Burgau und Brizze Bar im Nachbarort Burgau.
