Not A Good Hitlon Experience

For a Hilton Hotel this One Definitely didnt have that Hilton Feel... It Definitely Needs a Major Upgrade. The Staff is Great The Hotel is Just Undesirable. Disappointed at Hilton for this One Not what im Use to When it Comes to Hilton

I was very disappointed in the accommodations at this Hilton property. Don’t get me wrong, the staff were friendly, professional and attentive.. but the property itself… not the usual Hilton property that I am accustomed to when I hear, Hilton. It definitely needs a good refurbish. Once we got off the elevator, the carpet was stained, worn and buckling in multiple areas. The only word to describe the room is “wornout”. The linens were snagged and ratty looking. Stains on the walls, chips in the furniture. There was not Gideon Bible and no stationary to write a note… what is happening to this Hilton property. I am hesitant to book future travel with Hilton.

The hotel was great until i got to my room. The carpet was old as well as the furniture. The bed was not sturdy. This was because of the age of the bed. I paid over 300 dollars for a room with a jet tub and only 1 jet was fully working. The rest you didn't know it was working. The Hotel name was Hilton Garden Inn in downtown Virginia Beach. The room was 211. Don't waste your money on paying money for a room with a jet tub that doesn't work. A bad experience with Hilton. NEVER AGAIN. I didn't get what i paid for neither will you. Stay away from that hotel

The hotel needs to rework their plumbing system. Sometimes there is no hot water coming from the water tapes. You will have to open the small sink tape for sometime or the whole time for hot to come out in the shower/bathtub

Our king suite was clean however the room needs a updating. The carpet was dull the couch and chair were worn. The toilet seat in the 1/2 bath was actually peeling. The main bathroom toilet was crooked and rocked when getting up. I was in town just for a few days if it was longer i may have left. I will not book the hotel again i expected more for the money.

The best thing about the hotel was the location. Plenty of dining and shops within walking distance. And parking was free. As for the hotel itself, it was not as clean as I would've liked. The shower was leaky and the toilet's flushing was super loud. Breakfast was also super disappointing. Given that it costs $17, you'd be much better off eating at one of the nearby restaurants than wasting the money on mediocre eggs and bacon that are barely kept warm by heating lamps.

Hotel has not aged well. Looks tired. Carpets in hallways and especially in our room were filthy. Tried to wipe up spilled water with a towel and it came up black. Asked front desk to replace a lamp that was broken. Was told maintenance would be up the next day. Never happened. Stood in the lobby at 7 am waiting for coffee. Staff set up the entire breakfast buffett (which was advertised as included/free but was not included in our rate of ~ $400) leaving coffee, which everyone wanted, till last…
