Historic House Old Town Alexandria

This historic home is located in Old Town Alexandria and within two blocks of King Street, with onsite parking for 3 cars. Walk to restaurants, bars, shops, parks, and museums. The house has been modernized; the inside is comfortable and cozy. Fully furnished with amenities to make you feel right at home.

This detached historical house was built in 1870 and is updated to blend the old with the new. Old Town is known for its historic charm and art, and this home combines both. The house is conducive for groups of six, couples, and families with children over the age of ten. Two electric fireplaces provide ambiance and warmth, and the large flat-panel TV is great for movie night. For enjoyment, there are books, board games, and art supplies.

The designer kitchen is stocked with cooking tools for those who love to cook. Entertaining is a breeze; the dining room can seat up to ten people and has serving dishes.

A perfect place in Old Town
This is the second time we have stayed in this lovely home. The host is wonderful to work with and answers our questions immediately. The home is a blend of history and ultra modern. The parking in the rear is so appreciated. It is so near all the Old Town spots. We love this place!

All 4 of us enjoyed the stay. Very well equipped kitchen although we only used microwave and coffeemaker. Washer and dryer were very useful for us. Handy to anything we wanted to do. Went to DC on the Metro worked great!! All the people were so helpful everywhere we went!!

Wedding Weekend
We were visiting for a family wedding and the house was perfect. The house was very clean and comfortable. The location was perfect. Being just a block and half from King Street, shops and restaurants were easy to get to by walking. Vat was super responsive. Any time I sent a question, she replied extremely quickly. I would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous place near DC
We had a great stay at this property. We have stayed in many VRBOs over the last several years and this one is easily in the top 3. There was plenty of space in this home and it had everything we needed. The location was great for touring around Alexandria and it was a short walk to the Metro to spend time in DC. We packed a lot of things into a week, but we'd definitely come back here again in the future.

Perfect Location
Alexandria old town is an ideal location whether as a destination or going to DC. Uber was easy and good choice. Alexandria is a lovely, interesting town.. Vat's home is just wonderful! Good location, very walkable area. Home is very immaculate and has any possible amenity you could want. It is more like staying in a family or friends or home not a rental. Vat communicates quickly and seems to want renters to be totally happy. Well appointed and many special items. Parking off street a real bonus. We vrbo often and this was the best!

Great time in Old Town
This was our first time in Old Town and boy did this home set the bar high! This property was clean and spacious; better than the online pictures. The location is pretty close to D.C. and Georgetown, but there’s a lot to do right there. Plenty of great local restaurants and retail shopping. Vat was absolutely wonderful - kind, informative and very responsive.

My family and I were in town for our grandson’s graduation. Vat’s home was very clean and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the off-street parking since this is a busy street. We enjoyed the convenience of a coffee shop & restaurant close by. Communication with Vat was very responsive. One thing to note is that the ice maker did not work.

Wonderful Stay
The house was just perfect! Good locations for all the things we wanted to do. Very clean and well stocked with all of our needs. Enjoyed walking around the neighborhood in the evenings. If I could give it a rating of 10 stars, I would. If we ever return to DC, we will stay here again.

Old Friends Having Fun
We spent a wonderful long weekend here during Historic Garden Week. The house is cozy and comfortable, attractively decorated and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need, including off-street parking. It’s conveniently located within walking distance of the heart of Old Town Alexandria and Washington, DC is a short ride away by metro or car and you can take a water taxi for a more scenic route.

Absolutely Fabulous Stay!
We stayed March 25-29; We try to take as many coparenting trips as possible, we found this rental & it was perfect for what we needed. Upon entry you're greeted by an adorable coffee bar area & beautiful brick arch, the home has so many indescribably adorable characteristics, it's just the sweetest. We sat in the dinning room every morning for breakfast, my son loved the computer desk at the front windows for him to have some down time & also people watch. My favorite spot was the chair by the front, it gave me a spot to color with the colored pencils & book provided, it gave me some time to decompress. I enjoyed my morning coffee there & all the books offered. The whole house is well decorated, we felt at home. We spent the good part of our days in Washington & I spent some good time walking up and down King Street. My son absolutely fell in love with Alexandria & the house, he did not want to leave at all. We feel the same. Some things to make note of: -Read the binder Vat provides! She has put a lot of love into sharing her home and what it (& the town) has to offer. -I have severe sensory issues, I did end up purchasing new bedsheets & taking off the mattress protector because the sound & texture has very harsh to me (this is a personal thing) -There are sound barriers on the windows & it helps a lot. -The ice maker did not work for us. -A short walk to foxtrot will give you a pretty decent plain slice of pizza if you need a quick lunch. -Sit & enjoy the house!
