We excited about staying in this Hotel. The rooms were clean and wonderful. The Hotel was well appointed and wonderful decorated. The staff was friendly . The Hotel had a very good restaurant. Despite these wonderful appointments I wouldn’t stay there again. Expedia price says expressly taxes and fees included. We where charged an additional $87.00 in fees and taxes during our stay. The Hotel did provide a $50.00 credit but charged us $267.00 for “incidentals “ for two nights, that they deducted the taxes . I was planning on recommending this hotel but I will not do so . I hope this didn’t happen to other patrons and just me. If that is the case shame on this Hotel.

Had a great stay at Hotel Heron for New Year's. I was one of the lucky few that got to experience the amazing 10 course tasting dinner at Kiln that was very special and so deliciously decadent!

It is a lovely hotel and has fantastic staff. Location is perfect. As a pet friendly hotel, I wish they could set up an area where guests and their pets could dine. We will be back.

The service was top notch. We brought our dog. (60 lb doodle) and they were great with him. Staff was excellent genuine, and polite. Valet guys were awesome as well, always opening the door The decor was fantastic. A great job building out the hotel. Will definitely be back to enjoy the expansive rooftop in the summer!!! Outstanding spot walkable to King St!

Great night in Alexandria
I had a wonderful stay in room 213 of the Heron. I just wanted to see Alexandria, so I spent just one night. The room was very generous, everything was clean, and the staff was VERY accommodating. If there is one small issue I had, it was the bed itself. The pillows were lovely, the sheets and comforter were so comfy, but the bed itself was too firm for my back. No big deal, just a small hiccup. I will definitely be back!
