No smoking. . Spruce Shepherd’s Hut can be found nestled within the enchanting surroundings of a Christmas tree farm in the Cheshire market town of Wilmslow. Traditional craftsmanship has been beautifully blended with modern amenities resulting in rustic charm meets relaxation. Lovingly crafted and furnished with meticulous attention to detail, it offers a cosy and intimate glamping experience with the comfort and convenience of en-suite and self catering facilities. Outside you can savour the simple pleasures of life as you indulge in the wood-fired hot tub, nestled amidst the picturesque landscape of the Christmas tree farm. Immerse yourself in the soothing waters to the scent of pine whilst melting away your cares and worries, surrounded by the tranquillity of nature.
The shepherd’s hut is accessed via a rough track and is set on a working farm shared by wildlife including badgers, foxes, hedgehogs and bats, as well as many different sorts of birds so there’s always something going on. There is an on-site tea room open from March to October (Thursday–Sunday) and specialises in Cheshire-based produce, but also has a Caribbean influence. It’s fully licensed so expect bacon rolls and home made cake together with the odd cocktail!
If you can bear to venture out, Wilmslow centre is around a 15-minute walk and is a shoppers’ paradise with designer boutiques and upmarket interior designers, as well as chic charity shops and a department store. Foodies won’t be disappointed with lots of places to eat and drink and there’s even an independent boutique cinema and small theatre. You can take a stroll through the picturesque Carrs Park in the heart of the town centre, or by the River Bollin towards Styal Village and National Trust Quarry Bank Mill.
Lindow Common, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and Lindow Moss, are both adjacent to the farm for walks amongst the peatland and the cities of Manchester, Chester and Liverpool together with the Peak District National Park are all easily accessible.
