Good location, staff were very friendly. Hotel was very tired, lots of areas in need of attention, especially the bathrooms.
However, the most concerning thing form my point of view was the drama with a broken water pipe in our room. Water was gushing out and filled the room very quickly and when we informed staff it took ages for them to do anything. It felt like no one had a clue what to do and it made the situation much worse. As an emergency services worker I was a concerned that if anything more serious was happening then would they be able to cope?
The single beds were very uncomfortable and the bedding didn’t fit properly, so I found difficult to come by.
Also, parties on both night of our stay and me mention this was happening when we booked. Noise was intrusive until way past midnight. Not a deal breaker but on top of having to move rooms and all disturbance it was disappointing.
After a long journey - I was looking forward to a good nights rest- room service burger came up quickly and was good- then came the feeling I’d checked into a nightclub- until 1am
The guy checking me in asked if I’d had a long journey- I was offered an upgrade to another floor however this was 12.45, I asked if the manager could contact me with no response- room was fine - although starting to look tired , carpet stains and bathroom finishes- breakfast next morning was good and fresh but the reception team member was not equipped to deal with my complaint - I appreciate its the Party season but as lone traveller looking for a good nights sleep I would think twice about using this hotel for future visits to Wrexham which will become more frequent over the next few months
Nice stay staff very friendly, rooms dated and poor mattresses

Liked: Cleanliness, amenities
Staff were great but many times the front desk was unmanned and there was no way on getting the staff there. The smoking area is directly outside the main entrance, as there was a birthday party being held there there was a constant crowd smoking. You had to walk throug the smoke coming in or out. There was shouting in the corridors late at night.

Bad news
Water unavailable when I got to the room. Shower was tempremental. Bad experience
Our stay went well. Upon review after leaving and seeing our charges for our stay online, we were overcharged for breakfast. We were told that breakfast was 10 GBP each. We purchased 2 vouchers which should have been 20 GBP. The charge on my credit card was $65.14 USD. I believe we were charged 50 GBP. An overcharge of 30 GBP.
I do not have access to call and speak to the receptionist, Louis, at the desk. I would really like to have this issue resolved quickly.
Toaster was too slow and had bread with brekkie. Recommend the hotel Gets a new toaster.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
The hotel provided two different size twin bed ( one was a bed and the second was a cot) we had to upgrade our room and were charged $40 pounds for that to happen. Not impressed. And breakfast was $10 pounds and was not worth the money. Buffet style and the hot food was mostly cold. But after not having hot water to a burst pipe and complaining to the manager they did refund $60 pounds.

Quiet room request ignored
A very big room with comfortable beds, but
We did request a quiet room, away from lift noise as running the Chester marathon the day after. Checked in at 5pm ish, went into Wrexham for shopping/food. Then returned around 9pm to find we were well
Away from the lift, but on floor 1 right about the disco (wedding?) which we could happily sing along to! So much for the quiet room! And yes, we could have asked for a change of room, but at this time of night with a full car park? Disappointed to be fair
